의료 관련감염의 발생 원인으로는 무엇이 있는가? | 의료 관련감염의 발생 원인은 내인성 감염원과 외인성 감염원으로 구분할 수 있다. 내인성 감염은 환자 자신이 보유하고 있는 미생물이 감염원으로 작용하여 비교적 예방이 어렵다 (Sarginson, Taylor, Reilly, Baines, & Van Saene, 2004). 이에 비해 외인성 감염은 다른 환자, 직원, 방문객과 같은 주변사람들이나 의료기구, 약품과 같이 환경이 감염원이 되므로 (Gilomen et al., 2011; Hernandez-Castro et al., 2011) 의료인이 주의하거나 환경을 조절함으로써 예방이 가능하다. 의료 관련감염의 30%는 예방이 가능한 외인성 감염으로 보고되므로(Haley, Quade, Freeman, & Bennett, 1980) 미생물의 전파를 차단하는 감염예방행위를 철저히 이행해야 한다. |
