디지털 시대의 미디어 리터러시 교육은 어떤 것을 기반으로 하고 있는가? | 그 변화 가운데 가장 두드러진 점은 미디어 수용자관의 변화라고 볼 수 있다[20]. 초기의 미디어 리터러시 교육이 청소년을 미디어의저급한 문화로부터 보호해야 한다는 보호주의(protectionism)관점에 기반 했다면, 디지털 시대의 미디어 리터러시 교육은 청소년에게 미디어를 비판적, 능동적으로 수용하고 즐기며 내용을 창조해 낼 수 있는 능력을 기르는 권력부양(empowerment)의 관점에 기반하고 있다[20]. 특히 후자의 관점은 구성주의 학습이론, 영상 리터러시 전문가, 미디어 예술 교육자 및 청소년 연구자들에 의해 지지되고 있다[20]. |
