Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship among perceived health status and social support to identify the influencing factors of health promotion behavior in government-funded research institute's employee. Methods: The participants were 222 employees in three government-funded research institute. Questionnaires were used to measure the levels of the perceived health status, social support and health promotion behavior. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, multiple regression, and the IBM SPSS/WIN 19.0 program. Results: The predicting factors for health promotion behavior were age, smoking, perceived health status and social support. The variables explained the health promotion behavior by 34.3%. Conclusion: A survey of the various influencing factors of health promotion behavior will be required and social support system for government-funded research institute's employee is needed.

본 연구의 대상은 1개 직할시와 2개 중소도시에 위치한 3개 정부출연 연구기관에 근무하고 있는 종사자를 대상으로 하였으며, 본 연구에서는 표본수의 적절성을 확인하기 위하여 표본수 산출방법인 G*Power 3.1.2 프로그램을 이용하여 유의수준 .05, 검정력 80%, 효과 크기는 회귀분석의 보통정도 수준인 .15, 독립변수 14개로 하여 135명의 최소 표본수가 결정되었고, 3개 도시 3개 정부출연 연구기관에서 자료를 수집하므로 탈락률을 20%로 높게 산정하여 최소 162명 이상을 대상자로 결정하였다.

넷째, 대상자의 지각된 건강상태, 사회적 지지와 건강증진행위 실천과의 관계는 Pearson's correlation coefficient를 산출하여 확인하였다.
다섯째, 대상자의 일반적 특성, 지각된 건강상태와 사회적 지지가 건강증진행위 실천에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해 위계적 다중 회귀분석(Hierarchical multiple regression analysis)방법을 사용하였다.
셋째, 대상자의 일반적 특성에 따른 지각된 건강상태, 사회적 지지와 건강증진행위 실천의 차이를 분석하기 위해 Independent t-test와 One-way ANOVA로 분석하고 Scheffé test로 사후 검정하였다.

이론/모형

사회적 지지 측정은 Weinert와 Brandt (1981)가 개발하고 Seo와 Oh (1993)가 번역한 개인자원질문지(Personal Resource Questionnaire Part II) 도구를 사용하였다. 이는 애착/친밀성, 사회적 통합, 가치감, 조력의 4개 영역, 20개의 항목으로 구성되어 있다.
지각된 건강상태 측정도구는 일본 동경대학의 의학부 보건학과에서 작성한 것을 Kim (1978)이 번안하고 수정 ․ 보완한 한국판 THI (Todai Health Index) 건강조사표를 사용하였다. THI 건강조사표는 사람들의 신체적, 정신적 반응을 분석함으로써 그 사람의 건강상태를 파악하려는 의도 아래 고안된 것으로 종래의 건강조사표와 비교해 볼 때 동양인의 공통으로 갖고 있는 신체적 호소를 중심으로 생활행동, 습성, 정신, 심리적 측면이 포함되어 있다.

성능/효과

넷째, 정부출연 연구기관 종사자의 개인적 특성은 건강증진행위 실천을 5.4%로 설명하였고, 지각된 건강상태는 20.1%, 사회적 지지는 8.8%를 추가로 설명하여 총 34.3%를 설명하는 것으로 나타났다.
셋째, 대상자의 건강증진행위 실천은 지각된 건강상태(r=.45, p<.001)와 사회적 지지(r=.46, p<.001)는 유의한 정적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
첫째, 지각된 건강상태는 기술직이 행정관리직과 연구직보다 유의하게 높았으며, 근무년수에서는 10~15년 미만 경력자가 1~5년 미만 경력자와 5~10년 미만 경력자보다 유의하게 높았고 비흡연자가 흡연자보다 지각된 건강상태가 유의하게 높았다.

후속연구

셋째, 이 연구는 단일 정부출연 연구기관의 종사자를 대상으로 하였으므로 연구결과를 정부출연 연구기관 종사자 전체에 일반화하는데 신중을 기하여야 할 것으로 생각하며, 일반화를 위해 더 다양한 연구기관에서의 무작위 추출법을 활용한 반복적 연구를 제안한다. 그리고 본 연구에서 사용한 도구는 원도구 52문항에서 2문항이 빠진 문항을 사용하였으므로 향후 후속연구에서는 ‘HPLP II’ 도구 52문항 전체를 사용할 것을 제안한다.
둘째, 여러 건강 위험 요인에 노출되어 있는 정부출연 연구기관 종사자를 대상으로 하는 연구가 많지 않으므로 보다 더 많은 연구의 진행으로 정부출연 연구기관 종사자의 건강 관련 영향요인의 지식 축적을 위한 연구를 제언한다.

	건강증진행위 실천은 무엇인가?	건강증진행위 실천은 높은 수준의 건강상태를 유지하기 위하여 환경에 능동적으로 반응하는 것으로 질병을 예방하는 것 이상의 의미를 가지며 개인이나 집단이 최적의 안녕상태를 이루고 자아실현 및 개인적 욕구 충족을 유지, 증진하려는 행위(Pender, Murdaugh, & Parsons, 2011)로 이러한 과정을 통해 건강 위협행위를 건강 증진행위로 수정하여 건강을 증진 시키도록 하는 것이다. Kim과 Park (2009)의 연구에 의하면 Pender의 건강증진모형은 건강증진을 위한 포괄적 접근을 위해 학교, 지역사회, 산업체로 나누어 개발되었고 그 중 산업체를 통한 건강증진사업이 매우 중요하다고 하였다.
