Various types of parks such as ecological park, dragonfly park, etc. are tried to design in order to resolve different environmental issues in urban areas. Parks are considered organism habitats that not only improve the biodiversity but also give people a chance to observe living organisms in urban area. This study was conducted to select basic materials for planning a butterfly garden through reference reviews. The following 21 species of butterflies belonged to 1 order, 4 families, and 16 genera were selected: Phengaris teleius, Pseudozizeeria maha, Thecla betulae, Argynnis hyperbius, Dichorragia nesimachus, Hestina assimilis, Polygonia caureum, Sasakia charonda, Vanessa cardui, Vanessa indica, Boloria selene, Byasa alcinous, Papilio machaon, Papilio macilentus, Papilio protenor, Papilio xuthus, Papilio bianor, Sericinus montela, Colias erate, Eurema hecabe, and Pieris rapae. 85 species belonged to 22 families, 59 genera, 74 species, 10 varieties, and 1 subspecies were selected for host and nectar plants for butterflies selected above. These results would be expected to useful in butterfly gardening. After that, we think it is necessary to be applied these study results in field. This study requires a test in the butterfly garden. The test results will be make the butterfly-plant matrix.

본 연구는 나비정원 조성을 위한 목표종 선정에 목적이 있다. 따라서 먼저 나비정원에 도입, 유도 할 수 있는 나비에 대해 목표종을 선정하고 선정된 나비가 서식, 생활할 수 있는 식재식물을 선정하고자 한다.

제안 방법

더불어 해당 종과 식물의 발생양상을 알아보기 위해 선정된 나비 종에 대한 발생주기는 '나비의 대량증식 사육 기술개발'(RDA, 1999), ‘목포 유달산에서의 나비 개체군 동태에 관한 연구'(Ki, 2004), '한반도 나비도감’(Paek and Shin, 2014), ‘Korean Butterfly Atlas’(NIFOS, 2012)에 수록된 월별 출현양상을 분석하였다.
분석된 125종에 대해 국내 서식종을 확인하기 위해 산림청 국가표준식물목록을 확인하여 국내서식 종 종과 기타 미확인 27종으로 구분하였다.
선정 된 21종의 나비에 대한 문헌고찰을 통해 선호하는 식물을 분석하였다. 분석결과 22과 77속 113종 11변종 1품종으로 총 125종을 확인할 수 있었다.

대상 데이터

1단계 나비정원에 목표가 되는 나비 종 선정은 정원조성 초기에 인위적으로 도입 가능하고 교란 및 시행착오 시 재방사가 가능할 수 있도록 현재 농가에서 사육되는 종을 선정하였다.
나비정원에 목표가 되는 나비는 RDA(1999), Lim(2003), Jeong(2007)의 연구를 분석하여 총 4과 16속 21종을 선정하였다.

이론/모형

확인된 종은 식물 분류학적 구분을 통해 구분하고 Raunkiær(1934)에 따른 생활형 구분, Park(2009)와 Lee et al.(2011)에 따른 귀화식물 등을 분석하였다.

성능/효과

분석결과 22과 77속 113종 11변종 1품종으로 총 125종을 확인할 수 있었다.
선정된 21종은 호랑나비과(Papilionidae)에서 꼬리명주나비(Sericinus montela), 사향제비나비(Atrophaneura alcinous), 호랑나비(Papilio xuthus), 산호랑나비(Papilio machaon), 남방제비나비(Papilio protenor), 긴꼬리제비나비(Papilio macilentus), 제비나비(Papilio bianor) 등 7종, 흰나비과(Pieridae)에서 배추흰나비(Pieris rapae), 남방노랑나비(Eurema hecabe), 노랑나비(Colias erate) 등 3종, 부전나비과(Lycaenidae)에서 암고운부전나비(Thecla betulae), 남방부전나비(Pseudozizeeria maha), 푸른부전나비(Celastrina argiolus) 등 3종, 네발나비과(Nymphalidae)에서 암끝검은표범나비(Argyreus hyperbius), 작은은점선표범나비(Clossiana perryi), 먹그림나비(Dichorragia nesimachus), 홍점알락나비(Hestina assimilis), 왕오색나비(Sasakia charonda), 작은멋쟁이나비(Vanessa cardui), 멋쟁이나비(Vanessa indica), 네발나비(Polygonia c-Polygonia) 등 8종이 분류되었다.

후속연구

따라서 본 연구에서는 정원에서 보다 자연스럽게 나비가 생활하여 방문객에게 나비의 아름답고 신비로운 이미지를 부여 할 수 있도록 정원조성 방안을 알아보고자 한다. 먼저 우리나라에서 서식하는 나비 중 문헌고찰을 통해 사육 및 방사 가능한 나비를 발생시기별로 분류하여 도입을 인위적으로 유도하도록 하고 각 나비 종에 대한 기주식물과 흡밀식물을 도출하여 향후 나비정원 계획 조성 시 참고자료로 활용하고자 한다. 이러한 이론적 고찰 연구를 통해 추후 나비정원 실증 시험 자료로 활용하고 지속적인 연구를 통해 생물다양성 나비의 보전에 이바지할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

다만 나비농가에서 판매되는 성충의 경우 계절에 따라 가격이 개체 당 약 10$에 달할 때도 있다. 최초 나비정원 조성 시 구입 후, 방사할 수 있으며 주변의 다른 개체들과 함께 지속적인 서식이 가능할 수 있다고 판단된다. 더불어 나비 정착이 실패 할 때에는 농가에서 사육된 개체를 재 방사하여 다시 시도 할 수 있다고 판단된다.
