The objective of this study is understand the influence of the teaching ethics of preservice childcare teachers on teacher efficacy and professionalism awareness. In order to achieve the study objective, the questionnaires were distributed to 285 preservice childcare teachers in A city. In the results of the study, first, regarding the teaching ethics perceived by preservice childcare teachers, 'the ethics of infants' were the most highly perceived while the 'teaching strategy' on teacher efficacy, and 'social service' and 'professional ethics' on professionalism awareness were the most highly perceived. Second, preservice childcare teachers' teaching ethics, teacher efficacy, and professionalism awareness had statistically significant correlations. Third, preservice childcare teachers' teaching ethics had positive influence on teacher efficacy and professionalism awareness. Based on the results of this study, in order to improve the quality of the childcare service after understanding the importance of preservice childcare teachers' teaching ethics, it would be necessary to have various researches on the internal stability of the systematic education for childcare teachers to have teacher efficacy and professionalism awareness.

제안 방법

예비보육교사의 교사효능감을 측정하기 위해서 [22]에 의해서 개발된 축소판 교사효능감 척도(sence of teacher-efficacy)를 [23]이 한국판으로 번안하여 사용한 것을 [24]가 예비유아교사와 초임교사의 교사효능감에 맞추어 수정하였으며, 문항수정은 유아교육전문가 2인과 현장전문가 7인과의 내용타당도를 협의하여 수정한 질문지를 사용하였다. 교사효능감 척도는 학생참여, 교수전략, 학급관리로 3개의 하위요인 총 11문항으로 구성되었으며, 문항은 5점 Likert 척도가 사용되었다.

대상 데이터

본 연구의 대상은 A시에 소재한 대학에서 보육을 전공하는 예비보육교사에게 본 연구의 취지에 대해 설명하고 협조를 얻어 조사대상자들에게 조사내용에 대해 설명하고, 연구 참여의 동의를 얻은 후 미리 작성한 구조화된 자기기입식 설문지를 배포하였다. 자료수집 기간은 2015년 4월 27일부터 5월 22일까지이며, 응답자 300명 중 불성실한 응답이거나 기재사항이 미비한 15부를 제외한 285부가 분석대상이 되었다.

이론/모형

예비보육교사의 교직윤리의식 정도를 알아보고자 2010년 한국보육시설연합회가 발표한 보육교사윤리강령의 하위영역을 반영하여 보육교사 교직윤리의식정도를 알아본 [20]과 [21]의 척도를 사용하였다. 교직윤리의식척도는 영유아에 대한 윤리, 가정에 대한 윤리, 동료에 대한 윤리, 사회에 대한 윤리 4개의 하위요인 총 29문항으로 구성되었으며, 문항은 5점 Likert 척도가 사용되었다.
예비보육교사의 전문성인식을 측정하기 위하여 [25]의 전문성인식 도구를 [26]과 [27]등이 재구성한 것을 [28]가 수정·보완하여 사용한 질문지를 사용하였다. 본 척도는 보육교사의 전문성인식을 측정하기 위한 것으로 전문성지식, 사회봉사, 자율성, 직업윤리, 사회경제적 지위,직업전문성으로 6개의 하위요인 총 23문항으로 구성되었으며, 문항은 5점 Likert 척도가 사용되었다.

성능/효과

둘째, 예비보육교사들의 교직윤리의식, 교사효능감,전문성인식에서 통계적으로 유의미한 정적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과로 볼 때 예비보육교사들의 교직윤리의식, 교사효능감, 전문성인식의 각 하위요인별로 긍정적인 관련이 있음을 알 수 있다.
이러한 결과로 볼 때 예비보육교사들이 지각하는 교직윤리의식은 영유아에 대한 윤리, 교사효능감은 교수전략이, 전문성인식에서는 사회봉사와 직업윤리가 가장 높게 인식하고 있음을 알 수 있으며, 예비보육교사들은 교직윤리의식, 교사효능감, 전문성인식에 대해 보통 이상의 수준으로 인식하고 있음으로 보여진다.
첫째, 예비보육교사들이 지각한 교직윤리의식, 교사효능감, 전문성인식에 대한 인식수준을 살펴 본 결과, 교직윤리의식은 ‘영유아에 대한 윤리’와 ‘가정에 대한 윤리’가, 교사효능감에서는 ‘교수전략’이, 전문성인식에서는 ‘사회봉사’와 ‘직업윤리’가 가장 높게 나타났다.

후속연구

또한, 질문지에 의한 통계에만 의존하였기에 구체적이고 다양한 내용을 파악하기에는 무리가 있다고 할 수 있다. 그렇기 때문에 본 척도를 사용할 때는 해석에 유의할 필요가 있으며, 다른 측정치들의 결과와 함께 종합적으로 사용하고 후속 연구에서는 이를 보완할 수 있는 관찰이나 면담 등의 질적인 연구 방법을 통해 보완할 필요가 있다.
