본 연구에서는 보육교사의 교직윤리의식과 교수몰입이 교사-영유아 상호작용에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것을 목적으로 경기도와 충남지역의 보육교사 345명을 대상으로 조사연구를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 Pearson 적률상관분석과 상대적 영향력을 알아보기 위해 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하여 분석하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 보육교사의 교직윤리의식 및 교수몰입과 교사-영유아 상호작용 간에는 유의미한 상관관계가 있었으며, 하위변인 간의 상관도 모두 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 이는 보육교사의 교직윤리의식이 높을수록, 교수활동 중 몰입경험이 많을수록 교사는 영유아와 바람직하고 긍정적인 상호작용을 많이 한다는 것을 의미한다. 둘째, 교사-영유아 상호작용에 미치는 교직윤리의식과 교수몰입의 상대적 영향력을 분석한 결과, 교수몰입의 하위변인인 내적동기, 교직윤리의식 중 영유아에 대한 윤리, 교수몰입 중 구체적 계획 순으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 교사-영유아 상호작용에 영향을 미치는 보육교사의 요인을 파악함으로써 현장에 필요한 교사교육의 방향을 제시하고 이를 통해 바람직한 교사-영유아 상호작용을 발달시키고 나아가 보육의 질적 향상을 위한 시사점을 제공한다.

This study investigated the effects of preschool teachers' ethical awareness and teaching flow on the teacher-preschooler interaction based on the participation of 345 preschool teachers in Chungcheongnam-do and Gyeonggi-do. The collected data were analyzed by correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis. The results of the study were as follows: First, both teachers' ethical awareness and teaching flow were strongly correlated with the teacher-preschooler interaction, and the correlation between sub-variables was also significant. Second, analysis of the relative strength of teachers' ethical awareness and teaching flow in the explanation of the teacher-preschooler interaction revealed that intrinsic motivation as a sub-variable among teaching flow was the most prominent predictor of the teacher-preschooler interaction, followed by ethics for preschoolers among teachers' ethical awareness as well as specific plans among teaching flow. The findings of this study suggest future directions for teacher education based on newly identified factors affecting teacher-preschooler interactions, desirable teacher-preschooler interactions, and implications for improving childcare quality.

데이터처리

측정도구의 신뢰도를 검증하기 위해 Cronbach's a 계수를 산출하였고 보육교사의 교직윤리의식, 교수몰입, 교사-영유아 상호작용 간의 관계를 알아보기 위하여 Pearson의 적률상관분석을 실시하였다. 그리고 교직윤리의식과 교수몰입이 교사-영유아 상호작용에 미치는 영향력을 알아보기 위해 위계적 회귀분석 enter방식을 실시하였다.

이론/모형

교사-영유아 상호작용의 측정을 위해 이정숙(2003)[12] 이 The National Association for Education of Young Children(NAEYC) 인정기준, The Assessment Profile for Early-Childhood Program (APECP)평가 척도, 한국교육개발원의 평가기준(2000)척도 등을 기초로 하여 개발한 교사-유아 상호작용 유형 척도를 라은미 (2017)가 확인적 요인 분석으로 타당도를 검증하여 영유아 교사 대상으로 사용한 척도를 사용하였다[33]. 이 척도는 정서 ‧ 언어 ‧ 행동적 상호작용의 3개 하위요인으로 구성된 총 30문항의 5점 Likert식 척도로서, 점수가 높을수록 상호작용을 잘하는 것을 의미한다.
보육교사의 교직윤리의식 측정 도구로는 박찬옥과 김지현(2015)이 영유아교사를 대상으로 개발한 교직윤리 의식 척도를 사용하였다[21]. 이는 유치원 교사헌장·강령 (교육부, 2010)과 어린이집 원장 및 보육교사 윤리강령 (한국어린이집 총연합회, 2010), 미국의 NAEYC 윤리강령(NAEYC, 2011) 분석을 토대로 개발된 척도이다.
본 연구에서 사용된 교수몰입척도는 Cohen, Montague, Nathanson,과 Swerdik(1988)이 개발한 척도[32]를 기초로 송주연(2014)이 우리나라 유아교사에게 적합하도록 구성 개발한 유아교사 교수몰입 척도를 사용하였다 [28]. 이 척도를 보육교사에게 사용하기에 적합한지 알아 보기 위해 전문가 의견 수렴 과정을 거쳐 예비연구를 실시한 결과 문제가 없다고 판단되어 본 연구에 사용하였 다.

성능/효과

둘째, 교사-영유아 상호작용에 영향을 미치는 변인들의 상대적 영향력을 분석한 결과, 교수몰입의 하위요인 중 내적동기와 교직윤리의식 하위요인 중 영유아에 대한 윤리, 교수몰입 하위요인 중 구체적 계획 순으로 설명력을 가지는 것으로 나타났다.
첫째, 보육교사의 교직윤리의식과 교사-영유아 상호 작용 간에는 모두 유의미한 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났 다. 이는 보육교사의 교직윤리의식이 높을수록 교사-영 유아 간 바람직하고 긍정적인 상호작용이 많이 이루어진 다는 것을 의미하는 결과로서, 선행연구를 토대로 예측했던 결과와 같다고 할 수 있다.

후속연구

특히 교직윤리의식의 경우, 스스로 과대평가하거나 편견이 개입된 평가가 이루어질 가능성이 있다는 제한점이 있다. 따라서 후속 연구에서는 관찰, 심층면담, 사례연구 등 다양한 자료수집 방법을 포함함으로써 본 연구의 한계를 보완할 필요가 있다.
교사들은 담당 원아의 연령에 따라 몰입 수준이나 상호작용에서 차이를 나타낼 수 있으므로 연구결과의 일반화에 한계가 있다. 이에 추후에는 영아반과 유아반을 동일한 비율로 표집함으로써, 연구결과의 일반화 가능성을 높이고 담당 학급에 따른 차이를 비교해 보는 후속 연구를 제안하는 바이다.
