Based on the voucher specimens, vascular plants in this area consisted of 108 families, 362 genera, 578 species, 5 subspecies, 66 varieties and 4 forms, totally 653 taxa. In the flora of this area, 5 taxa of Korean endemic plants were found distributed in the sites, including Hepatica insularis Nakai and Asarum glabrata (C.S.Yook & J.G.Kim) B.U.Oh. Korean rare and endangered plants found in this area were 1 taxa of Critical Endangered Species (CR) and 5 taxa of Vulnerable Species (VU). The floristic regional indicator plants found in this area were 67 taxa comprising 3 taxa of grade V, 2 taxa of grade IV, 12 taxa of grade III, 3 taxa of grade II and 47 taxa of grade I. Naturalized plants consisted of 67 taxa, such as Chenopodium album L. and Erigeron annuus (L.) Pers. were recognized widely distributed in the area.

따라서 본 연구는 기존 문헌의 식물목록을 검토하고, 현지조사를 통해 증거표본을 확보하여 이에 기초한 정확한 관속식물상을 검토하며, 산림식물에 대한 식물다양성 조사를 통해 주요 식물들의 효율적인 관리와 종다양성 보존을 위한 기초자료를 수집하고자 하였다.
제안 방법
덕적도를 중심으로 문갑도, 소야도의 관속식물 분포를 조사하기 위해 2014년 4월부터 2014년 10월까지 17일에 걸쳐 현지조사를 실시하였다(Table 1; Fig. 1).

대상 데이터
덕적군도는 인천에서 남서쪽으로 65 ㎞, 태안반도의 북서쪽 30 ㎞에 위치하며, 42개 도서(8개 유인, 34개 무인)로 형성되어 있다. 본 조사지역은 덕적군도 내 덕적도를 중심으로 문갑도, 소야도이며, 행정구역상 인천광역시 옹진군 덕적면에 속한다(Ongjin country office, 2015). 지리적으로 북위 37° 10' 23 " ~ 37°17' 33", 동경 126°05' 05" ~ 126°11' 40"에 위치하며, 면적은 덕적도 20.
이론/모형
주요 자원식물인 특산식물, 희귀식물, 식물구계학적 특정종 등은 Oh et al. (2005), Korea National Arboretum (2008b), Ministry of Environment (2012) 등에 따라 구분하였으며, 귀화식물 현황은 Lee et al. (2011), Jung (2014)의 문헌을 참고하였다.
분류군의 동정은 Lee (1980, 2003), Park (1995, 2001, 2009), Lee (1996), Korea National Arboretum (2008a, 2011), Lee (2006) 등의 도감 및 Park ed. (2007)의 식물지 등을 이용하였다.

또한 도서별 귀화식물 종구성을 살펴보면, 덕적도 61분류군, 문갑도 27분류군, 소야도 32분류군으로 나타났으며, 귀화율(Naturalized Index: 귀화식물의 종수/출현식물의 총 종수×100) 및 도시화지수(Urbanization Index: 귀화식물의 종수/남한 귀화식물 총 종수×100)는 덕적도 11.0%(NI), 19.0%(UI), 문갑도 9.5%(NI), 8.4%(UI), 소야도 8.4%(NI), 10.0%(UI)로 나타났다. 귀화율은 세 개섬이 유사한 비율을 보였으며, 도시화지수는 덕적도가 높게 조사되었다.
해안습지에 주로 자라는 들통발은 서포리 해안습지에서 확인되었으며, 주변의 삼림욕장 개발로 인한 훼손이 우려된다. 또한 세뿔석위는 덕적도 국사봉 능선부에서 소수 개체만 발견되었으며, 버들금불초는 덕적도의 능동자갈마당, 문갑도의 어르부리에서 처녀바위 방향 등산로 주변에서 다수의 개체가 조사되었다. 대부분의 희귀식물이 등산로 및 해안산책로 주변에 분포하고 있어 인위적인 훼손이 우려되며, 이에 대한 보전 대책 마련이 필요하다고 판단된다.
또한 유럽전호(Anthriscus caucalis M.Bieb.), 울산도깨비바늘(Bidens pilosa L.), 털빕새귀리(Bromus tectorum L.) 등 귀화식물 25분류군도 본 조사를 통해 새로이 분포가 확인되었다.
본 연구에서 밝혀진 덕적군도 내 덕적도, 문갑도, 소야도의 관속식물은 108과 362속 578종 5아종 66변종 4품종의 총 653분류군으로 확인되었으며, 양치식물 8과 13속 21분류군(3.2%), 나자식물 2과 2속 3분류군(0.5%), 피자식물의 쌍자엽식물 84과 260속 439분류군(67.2%), 단자엽식물 14과 87속 190분류군(29.1%)으로 나타났다(Table 2). 이는 한반도의 관속식물 4,881분류군(Korea National Arboretum and The Plant Taxonomic Society of Korea, 2007)의 13.
도서별 특산식물은 덕적도 3분류군, 문갑도 3분류군, 소야도 2분류군이 확인되었다. 외대으아리는 문갑도의 깃대봉에서 진고개로 연결되는 능선부에서 생육하고 있었으며, 각시족도리풀은 덕적도의 진2리 이개마을에서 비조봉 정상으로 가는 사면에서 소수의 개체를 확인하였다. 또한 덕적도의 능동자갈마당, 비조봉, 벗개저수지, 소야도의 국사봉에 생육하는 서울제비꽃은 다소 많은 개체를 확인하였으나, 접근하기 쉬운 저지대에 주로 분포하고 있어 인위적인 훼손이 우려된다.
최근 Jung (2014)은 이입시기에 따라 1기(1500∼1931년), 2기(1932∼1960년), 3기(1962∼현재)로 구분하였으며, 분포범위를 고려한 침입등급을 광분포종(WS), 심각한 확산종(SS), 확산 위험종(SR), 확산 우려종(SC), 확산 진행종(CS)으로 총 5등급으로 구분하였다. 이를 근거로 조사지역의 이입시기별 귀화식물을 살펴보면 1기 15분류군(22.4%), 2기 18분류군(26.9%), 3기 34분류군(50.7%)로 나타났으며, 침입등급별로는 광분포종 17분류군, 심각한 확산종 13분류군, 확산 위험종 11분류군, 확산 우려종 14분류군, 확산 진행종 12분류군으로 조사되었다. 조사결과, 최근에 유입된 귀화식물 및 전국적으로 분포하는 광분포종 비율이 높게 나타났다.

조사지역에서 생육이 확인된 653분류군 중 특산식물(Oh et al., 2005)은 외대으아리(Clematis brachyura Maxim.), 새끼노루귀(Hepatica insularis Nakai), 각시족도리풀(Asarum glabrata (C.S.Yook & J.G.Kim) B.U.Oh), 서울제비꽃(Viola seoulensis Nakai), 갯겨이삭(Puccinellia coreensis Honda) 등 총 5분류군이 분포하는 것으로 확인되었으며, 기존 연구 자료를 포함하면 총 13분류군으로 나타났다(Table 4)
한편, 천마(Gastrodia elata Blume), 개정향풀(Trachomitum lancifolium (Russanov) Pobed.), 시호(Bupleurum falcatum L.), 왜박주가리(Tylophora floribunda Miq.) 등 기존 문헌에 기록된 일부 분류군은 본 조사에서 관찰되지 않았으며, 이는 조사경로 및 일정의 차이로 판단된다
후속연구
또한 세뿔석위는 덕적도 국사봉 능선부에서 소수 개체만 발견되었으며, 버들금불초는 덕적도의 능동자갈마당, 문갑도의 어르부리에서 처녀바위 방향 등산로 주변에서 다수의 개체가 조사되었다. 대부분의 희귀식물이 등산로 및 해안산책로 주변에 분포하고 있어 인위적인 훼손이 우려되며, 이에 대한 보전 대책 마련이 필요하다고 판단된다.
따라서 미조사 경로 및 시기에 추후보완조사가 필요하다고 생각된다.
한편, 생태계교란 야생식물인 돼지풀(Ambrosia artemisiifolia L.), 미국쑥부쟁이(Aster pilosus Willd.), 서양금혼초(Hypochaeris radicata L.), 가시박(Sicyos angulatus L.)이 덕적도 및 소야도의 민가 및 등산로 주변에서 확인되었으며, 이들에 대한 생육 및 분포특성을 파악하여 주기적인 방제작업 등과 같은 대책 마련이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.
