슬관절 치환술 환자의 특징은? | 슬관절 치환술은 만성 통증과 기능장애의 증상을 완화시키는 매우 효과적인 방법으로, 슬관절 치환술 환자 수는 2006년 27,446명에서 2008년 39,431명, 2010년 50,832명, 2013년 78,940명으로 가파른 증가를 보이고 있다(Statistics Korea,2013). 그러나 슬관절 치환술 환자는 오랜 기간 관절염으로 정상인의 30.0~40.0%에 불과한 근력과 근육을 가지며, 이는 수술로 인해 더욱 위축될 수 있으며(Fisher, Pendergast, Gresham, & Calkins, 1991), 슬관절 치환술 수술 시 대퇴 사둔근의 절개로 슬관절 주변의 근육유착과 근육약화는 근육위축을 더 가중하는 경향이 있다(Lee, Kim, & Choi, 1999). 슬관절 치환술 후 조기운동은 관절이 굳기 전 관절의 가동범위를 넓히고(Kim & Kim, 2009) 하지근력을 향상시키며(Min, Jung, Kim, Kim, & Choi, 2011), 수술 후 짧은 시간 내 보행이 가능하도록 하여 일상생활로의 복귀시간을 단축시켜 삶의 질을 증진시킨다(Groen, Stevens, Kersten, Reininga, & van den Akker-Scheek, 2012; Jeon, 2012). | |
