Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify whether self-directed fundamental nursing practice using a smart phone affected self-efficacy, practice satisfaction, and skill competency of nursing students. Methods: This was a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design. The participants were 40 children in the experimental group and 40 in the control group. In experimental group, self-directed fundamental nursing practice using a smart phone was given to nursing students. Data for this study was collected from 25 March 2015 to 10 April 2015. The data were analyzed using SAS 21.0. Results: In self-efficacy and skill competency, there were no statistically significant differences between the experimental group and control group. In practice satisfaction, there were statistically significant differences between the experimental group and the control group. Conclusion: The results indicate that self-directed fundamental nursing practice using smartphone video is effective in practice satisfaction. Therefore, this intervention can be utilized in nursing practice education as an effective educational device.

제안 방법

본 연구에서 실습만족도는 Lee (1999)에 의해 개발되고 Seong (2008)에 의해 수정 보완된 학습만족도 평가도구를 연구자가 수정 보완하여 사용하였으며 간호학 교수 3인의 자문을 받아 내용타당도를 검증 받았다. 질문지는 실습자 태도 1문항, 실습자 만족도 4문항, 실습 내용의 적합성 2문항, 실습에 대한 성취도 5문항으로 총 12문항으로 구성되었다.
본 연구에서는 무균술 항목 중 단순도뇨를 실습 수행능력을 평가하기 위한 도구로 선정하였다. 이는 Baek (2004)의 선행연구에서 기본간호실습실 개방 자율실습의 참여율이 가장 높은 것은 무균술이었으며 여러 가지 무균술 중에서도 연습한 실습시간에 비해 실기 숙련도가 낮아 학생들이 어려워하는 것이 배뇨에 관한 기본간호술기로 나타났다.

대상 데이터

본 연구는 2015년 3월 25일부터 4월 10일까지 강원도 일개 대학 4년제 간호학과 학생 중 기본간호학을 수강했고 자율실습 실시 예정인 3학년을 대상으로 본 연구의 목적을 설명한 후 연구 참여 동의서에 서명한 학생들을 대상으로 실시하였다. 대상자 수는 G*Power program을 이용하여 산출한 결과 독립표본 t검정에서 양측 검정이면서 유의수준 .
80으로 설정한 경우 각 그룹 당 필요 인원수는 34명이었다. 본 연구에서는 탈락율을 고려하여 각 그룹별로 45명씩 총 90명의 대상자를 모집하였으며 연구기간동안 설문지의 답이 부실하거나 3회의 실습기간 중에 지각하거나 결석한 실험군 5명, 대조군 5명은 제외하여 최종 연구 대상자는 실험군 40명, 대조군 40명으로 총 80명이었다.

데이터처리

대상자의 일반적 특성, 학업적 특성에 대한 동질성 검증은 X²-test와 t-test , Fisher's exact test로 분석하였다.
실험군과 대조군의 자아효능감, 실습만족도, 실습 수행능력의 차이는 t-test로 분석하였다.

이론/모형

본 연구에서 자아효능감은 Kim (2004)의 일반적 자아효능감 척도를 Kim, Chun과 Choi (2014)가 수정 보완한 도구를 사용하였다. 질문지는 자신감 8문항, 자기조절효능감 12문항, 과제난이도선호 5문항으로 총 25문항으로 구성되어 있다.

성능/효과

본 연구는 스마트폰 동영상을 활용한 기본간호 자율실습이 자아효능감, 실습만족도 및 실습 수행능력에 미치는 효과를 파악하기 위해 수행되었다. 본 연구결과 스마트폰 동영상을 활용한 기본간호 자율실습이 자아효능감과 실습 수행능력보다는 실습만족도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 기본간호 자율실습 시 단순도뇨술만 가지고 스마트폰 동영상을 촬영 후 학생들의 실습 만족도, 자아효능감, 실습 수행능력에 미치는 영향에 대해 위의 결과를 설명하기에는 한계가 있었다.
기존의 시청각 매체의 가장 진화 된 형태인 스마트폰은 녹화된 영상물의 반복 시청, 자기관찰 및 즉각적피드백과 행동수정이 가능하고 휴대가 간편하여 실습에서의 활용범위는 매우 넓어 보인다. 이와 같은 스마트폰이라는 교육매체가 가지고 있는 장점을 실습교육에 잘 활용한다면 자아효능감, 실습만족도 그리고 실습 수행능력의 향상시키는 효과를 충분히 볼 수 있다고 생각된다.

후속연구

앞으로 연구에서는 충분한 연구기간을 가지고 여러 술기에 적용 및 비교분석을 통해 실습에 효과적으로 스마트폰 동영상 활용하는 방법을 모색하는 연구가 필요하다. 또한 스마트폰 촬영 후 학생들 간의 피드백 뿐만 아니라 교수자의 피드백이 동시에 이루어지도록 하여 수행능력 향상을 도모하고자아효능감 증진을 위한 사전 프로그램 운영등의 보완이 이루어져야 한다. 촬영된 동영상은 수업시간 이외에도 언제라도 원하는 시간에 활용할 수 있기 때문에 장기 효과를 측정을 한다면 실습 만족도 뿐 아니라 자아효능감과 실습 수행능력도 많은 변화가 올 것으로 예상된다.
앞으로 연구에서는 충분한 연구기간을 가지고 여러 술기에 적용 및 비교분석을 통해 실습에 효과적으로 스마트폰 동영상 활용하는 방법을 모색하는 연구가 필요하다. 또한 스마트폰 촬영 후 학생들 간의 피드백 뿐만 아니라 교수자의 피드백이 동시에 이루어지도록 하여 수행능력 향상을 도모하고자아효능감 증진을 위한 사전 프로그램 운영등의 보완이 이루어져야 한다.
그러나 지방 일 개 대학의 학생들을 대상으로 실시한 연구이므로 결과를 확대해석하기에는 신중을 기해야 할 것이다. 추후 간호 교육 현장 뿐 아니라 임상에서도 간호술기에 스마트폰을 활용한 방법을 개발하고 그 효과를 검증하는 연구를 수행 할 것을 제언한다.
