소셜미디어의 품질은 어떻게 나뉘는가? 소셜미디어의 품질은 매체적 품질과 기능적 품질로 나눌 수있다(Shin & Ji, 2014). 매체적 품질은 사회심리학적 측면으로 소셜미디어가 이용이 자유롭고, 이용자들 간 정보 및 경험을공유하며, 양방향 인터렉션이 가능한 커뮤니케이션 도구이기 때문에(Kozinets, Valck, Wojnicki, & Wilner, 2010), 사회성 품질, 감성 품질, 서비스 품질이 정보시스템의 연구에서 확장 모델로 다루어지고 있다(Shin & Ji, 2014).
