로맨틱 스포티즘 스타일가 가지는 미학적 가치는 무엇인가? 본 연구는 2010년 이후 지배적인 트렌드로 자리 잡고 있는 스포티즘 현상 속에서 스포티즘과 로맨틱 이미지가 융합된 로맨틱 스포티즘 스타일에 대한 특성을 연구하여 이를 분석, 규명하고자 한다. 이는 대상을 바라볼 때 이미지를 연상할 수 있는 형용사 어휘 분석을 통해 추출된 용어를 융합시켜 미적 특성을 개념화하였다는 점에 있어 21세기 융합 패션 스타일을 바라보는 우리의 시지각(視知覺)에 변화를 일으킬 뿐 아니라, 새로운 융합 패션의 미의식(美意識)을 일깨워 준다는 면에서 미학적 가치가 있다고 본다. 또한 도출된 미적 특성에 있어 디자인의 요소에 따른 조형적 특성을 파악하고 정리함으로 로맨틱 스포티즘 패션 디자인 전개 및 활용에 효율적 방향을 제시하였다는 점에서 학문적 의의가 있다 하겠다.
