본 연구는 바이오에탄올, 바이오부탄올, 바이오에탄올과 부탄올 혼합 알코올을 저농도로 혼합한 휘발유(sub octane gasoline)의 평가를 통해 저농도 바이오알코올이 스파크 점화 차량의 배출가스와 연비에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다, 이에 대한 분석결과는? | 1) 함산소 기제인 바이오알코올과 MTBE 혼합 효과로 옥탄가와 산소함량, 밀도 등은 상승하였으며, 올레핀과 방향족 성분은 혼합에 의한 희석 효과로 인해 sub octane gasoline 대비 상대적으로 낮은 값을 나타내었다. 2) 바이오알코올 및 함산소기재가 혼합된 평가 시료는 산소가 미포함된 sub octane gasoline 대비 입자상 물질의 개수가 감소하는 결과를 보임으로써 함산소 물질에 의한 입자상 물질 저감 효과는 확인할 수 있었다. 반면, 산소함량 증가에 따른 입자상 물질 개수의 차이는 명확히 나타나지 않았다. 3) 불완전 연소에 의해 발생되는 CO는 냉간 운전 기간이 포함된 CVS-75 모드에서는 sub octane gasoline 대비 모든 시료에서 낮게 배출되었으나, 산소 함량 차이에 의한 상관관계는 나타나지 않았다. NMHC 와 NOx는 CO 대비 배출량이 매우 적고 결과도 각 평가 시료 간 시험 편차 수준의 결과를 나타내어 평가 시료와 규제 배출가스 간 유의한 상관관계를 보이지 않았다. 연비의 경우도 시험 편차 수준의 결과를 나타냈다. 4) 유해 발암물질인 알데하이드의 경우 바이오알코올 등 함산소제가 포함된 시료에서 배출량이 증가하는 경향을 보였으나, 바이오알코올 종류에 따른 알데하이드 배출량은 유의미한 결과가 나타나지는 않았다 5) 저농도 알코올 혼합에 의한 평가 결과 기존 시판 휘발유(MTBE 혼합) 대비 바이오알코올 혼합 시료들에서 연비나 배출가스 등의 유의미한 성능 차이는 확인할 수 없었으나, 휘발유 차량의 개조 없이 저농도 바이오알코올 혼합하여 사용할 수 있으며, 국내 도입 시 입자상 물질 감소에 따른 대기 환경개선과 국가적 차원의 수송부문에서 온실가스 감축에 일정 기여할 것으로 보인다. | |
