청소년들은 간식으로 무엇을 먹는가? | 그러나 청소년기의 학생들은 학업 스트레스, 조기 등교, 심리적 불안정 등으로 인하여 올바른 식습관을 유지하기 어려우며(Lee & Je, 2008), 신선한 과일이나 채소보다는 가공식품을 과다 섭취하고 있는 것으로 조사되었다(Bray, 2009; Jeong & Choi, 2003; Park & Ahn, 2001). 청소년들은 간식으로 탄산음료를 비롯한 과자류, 사탕류, 빵류 등의 가공식품을 선호하며(Jeong & Choi, 2003; Kim, 2001; Oh, Lee, Na, & Kim, 2006; So ng & Cho i, 2013), 빠른 시간 내에 간단한 음식으로 배고픔을 해결하기 위해서 라면, 햄버거, 피자 등 식사대용 인스턴트식품을 자주 섭취하는 것으로 나타났다(Han & Cho, 2011; Park, Kim, & Han, 2008). 이러한 가공식품에는 청소년의 성장과 발달에 필요한 영양성분은 충분하지 않고 에너지 함량은 높으므로 가공식품을 지속적으로 과다섭취하면 심혈관질환, 비만, 당뇨 등의 만성질환에 노출될 위험이 높아진다(Adler & Metthews, 1994; Goo etal, 2011; Lee, 2003). |
