본 연구는 방송영상기록물을 대상으로 방송영상기록물의 제작에 참여한 저작자를 식별하기 위한 기술항목을 제안하여 방송영상기록물에 대한 저자식별체계 구축의 기반을 마련하는데 주된 목적을 두고 있다. 연구 결과, 방송영상기록물의 저작자 식별을 위해, 이름, 성별, 생년월일, 저자식별체계, 국가, 소속기관, 분야 등 총 7개의 기술항목을 개인, 소속, 역할의 세 가지 범주로 구성하였으며, 이에 대해 2단계에 걸쳐 분류 및 범주화를 진행하였다. 이 구조를 바탕으로 총 10개의 기본 패싯과 14개의 하위 패싯을 구성하여 방송영상기록물 저작자의 식별을 위한 패싯 기반 구조를 구축하였으며, 방송영상기록물 저작자 식별을 위한 기술항목을 제안하였다.
