가상현실로 인한 여러 가지 문제점은 무엇인가? | 이렇듯 가상현실이 주는 여러 가지 이점이 있지만 장시간 가상현실로 인한 여러 가지 문제점도 존재한다. HMD의 장시간 착용은 여러 가지 시각 기능 및 근골격계적 질환(musculoskeletal disease)을 유발할 가능성이 높다. 기존의 다수의 연구에서 HMD가 시각 기능의 변화와 피로가 유발됨을 보고하였다. Morse 등(1999)의 연구에 따르면 HMD을 통한 가상현실 20분 시청 후 피실험자는 근거리 외사위(exophoria)가 증가되었고 조절눈모음비는 감소되었다고 보고하였다[8]. 또한 Sharples 등(2008)에 의한 연구에 따르면 HMD는 데스크톱 모니터나 프로젝션 디스플레이에 비해 멀미나 방향 감각 상실 등을 유발한다고 하였으며[9], Lo 등(2001)의 연구에서는 20분간 HMD 사용 후 멀미가 심하게 나타난다고 하였다[10]. 또한 장비의 무게로 인해 목에서 지탱하는 머리의 무게가 증가하게 되고 이로 인해 머리뼈와 목 연결부의 앞굽음(kyphosis) 증가와 뒤통수 아래 근육 및 목과 어깨 근육의 비정상적이고 지속적인 근 수축과 같은 보상작용(compensation)이 발생되기도 한다[11]. 이로 인해 대표적인 근골격계적 질환인 머리가 앞으로 돌출된 전방머리자세(Forward Head Posture, FHP)가 유발된다. | |
