이 연구는 공사현장 근로자의 임시소방시설에 대한 집단 간의 사전 지식을 비교 문제점을 도출하고 그에 맞는 개선방안을 강구하여 화재사고를 미연에 예방하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 소화기의 경우 시공사, 감리원, 협력사 근로자와 소화기 관리책임자를 지정 간 통계적으로 유의하였다. 시공사 공종별로 소화기 관리책임자를 지정이 필요하다고 응답한 소방관리자 87%, 설비감독자 70%로 차이가 있음을 알 수 있었고, 이는 근로자들이 임의로 화기 작업장으로 이동하여 배치하고 작업 후 그냥 방치하는 사례가 많기 때문에 소화기 관리책임자를 지정하고 수시로 점검하고 재배치하는 관리지정이 필요하다. 둘째, 간이소화장치의 경우 시공사, 감리원, 협력사 근로자와 간이소화장치 무단사용 시 벌칙적용 간 통계적으로 유의하였다. 셋째, 비상경보장치의 경우 시공사, 감리원, 협력사 근로자와 임시방송설비로 비상경보음 발생 적용 간 통계적으로 유의하였다. 넷째, 유도등의 경우 시공사, 감리원, 협력사 근로자와 통로유도등 및 비상조명등 연계 적용 간에는 통계적으로 유의하였다. 협력사 공종별로 피난구 유도등과 통로유도등 및 비상조명등 연계 적용은 건축근로자 65%, 전기근로자 55%가 통로유도등 및 비상조명등 연계 적용 차이가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이는 건축물 구조상 피난구 유도등의 사각지대를 해소하기 위해서 통로유도등 및 비상조명등과 연계 적용하여 출입문의 방향을 먼 거리에서도 쉽게 구별하여 작업자가 인지하여 안전하게 대피하는 장치가 필요하다.
