본 연구는 코로나-19 상황에서 간호대학생의 임상실습을 대체하는 혼합실습 경험의 본질을 파악하기 위해 시도되었다. 2020년 12월 17일부터 2020년 12월 31일까지 간호대학생 8명을 대상으로 심층 인터뷰를 개별적으로 시행하여 자료 수집을 하였고 Colaizzi의 현상학적 분석 방법론을 적용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 간호대학생의 혼합실습 경험을 통해 '불안 속 수용하기', '전면에 드러난 자율성', '마음을 졸인 비대면 실습', '지식 채워나가기', '목표달성이 가능한 다양한 접근', '아쉬움이 남은 최선의 실습'의 6가지 범주가 나타났다. 감염병 대유행 상황에서 간호대학생은 혼합실습에 대한 불안과 우려를 가지고 임상실습 대체를 받아들였으며, 자기주도적인 학습을 통해 실습 적응 방법을 모색하고 임상실습의 목표를 달성하는 경험을 하였다.
