본 연구는 고등학생이 지각한 부모의 자율성지지, 성장신념, 그릿이 회피적 도움추구행동에 미치는 영향을 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 서울시 소재 일반계 고등학교에 재학 중인 418명을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였으며 회수된 자료는 Mplus 8.2와 SPSS 25.0 통계 프로그램을 사용하여 사전기초분석, Pearson 상관분석구조방정식 모형 분석을 통하여 검증되었다. 그 결과 첫째, 지각된 부모의 자율성지지는 성장신념과 그릿에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 성장신념은 지각된 부모의 자율성지지가 회피적 도움추구행동에 미치는 부적 영향을 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 고등학생의 자기주도적인 학습 행동을 증진하기 위하여 부모와의 관계뿐만 아니라 개인의 내적 성장신념이 복합적으로 작용함을 알 수 있었으며, 이러한 결과로 본 연구가 가질 수 있는 이론 및 실천적 시사점이 논의되었다.
