본 연구는 대학생들의 진로 성숙도가 가들의 진로 결정 수준에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 구직 효능감이 이를 매개할 때 성격 요인의 조절 효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 국내·외 대학에 재학 중인 대학생 254명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시한 후 이를 위계적 회귀분석과 Hayes의 Process Macro를 이용하여 해당 변인들의 조절 및 매개효과를 검증하였다. 분석 결과, 진로 성숙도와 진로 결정 수준의 관계에서 구직효능감의 매개효과를 확인하였다. 또한, 진로 성숙도가 구직 효능감의 매개를 통해 진로 결정 수준에 미치는 효과를 성격의 5요인 중 외향성 요인이 이를 조절하는 것으로 나타나 해당 변인들의 조절된 매개효과를 확인하였다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 의의와 한계점이 결론 및 논의에서 다루어졌다.

This study aimed to verify the mediating effects of personality and job-seeking efficacy in the process of college students' career maturity affecting their career decision certainty level. To this end, an online survey was conducted with 254 college students attending domestic and foreign universities, which confirmed the mediating effect of job-seeking efficacy in the relationship between career maturity and career decision certainty level. In addition, the effect of career maturity on the level of career decision certainty, mediated by job-seeking efficacy, was shown to be controlled by personality, namely extraversion, confirming the moderate mediating effect of this variable. Based on these findings, the implications and limitations of this study are discussed.

둘째, 진로 성숙도와 진로 결정수준 사이의 관계에서 구직 효능감의 매개효과를 위계적 회귀분석과 Process Macro를 실시하여 검증하였다.
셋째, 진로 성숙도와 구직 효능감 사이의 관계에서 성격의 하위요인들의 조절효과를 위계적 회귀분석과 Process Macro를 실시하여 검증하였다.
첫째, 본 연구의 주요 변인들 사이의 상관관계를 알아보기 위하여 상관분석을 실시하였다.

이론/모형

본 연구에서는 Osipow 등(1980)이 개발하고 척도를 고향자(1992)가 번안한 진로결정 수준 검사를 사용하 였다. 리커트 4점 척도의 자기보고문항 18개와 자유 반응형 문항 1개, 총 19개의 문항으로 이루어져 있지만, 원활한 연구 및 설문을 위하여 자유 반응형 문항을 제외한 자기보고문항 18개로 연구를 진행한다.

성능/효과

4347이며 95% 신뢰구간에 0을 포함하고 있지 않으므로 구직 효능감의 매개효과는 통계적으로 유의하다. 따라서 진로 성숙도는 구직 효능감에 정적인 영향을 미칠 것이라는 가설 2, 구직 효능감이 진로 결정 수준에 정적인 영향을 미칠 것이라는 가설 3, 구직 효능감이 진로 성숙도와 진로 결정 수준의 관계를 매개 할 것이라는 가설 4가 모두 지지됨을 확인하였다.
분석결과, 진로 성숙도는 구직 효능감의 증가와 유의 미한 관련성이 있음을 알 수 있었으며(t = 15.381, p < .001), 이를 통해 진로 성숙도의 수준이 높은 사람일수록 구직 효능감을 더 많이 느끼는 것을 확인할 수 있다

후속연구

따라서 변수들 간의 관계성의 유미함을 알아낼 수는 있었지만 실제 영향을 순차적으로 주는 것인지에 대해서는 확언할 수 없다. 따라서 후속 연구에서는 종단연구와 질적 연구 방법론을 사용하여 관계의 심층적 의미와 방향성에 대하여 확인하는 과정이 필요할 것이다.
