본 연구는 초등학생의 자원봉사활동과 자기개발 활동이 주관적 행복감에 미치는 영향을 파악하고 이를 바탕으로 리더십 생활기술의 매개효과를 검증하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 조사대상자는 청소년 활동 참여 실태조사로 한국청소년 정책 연구원에서 2018년 조사한 자료로 초등학교에 재학 중인 2,739명 중 무응답 및 결측치를 제거하고 최종 1,978명을 선정하였다. 분석방법은 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 SPSS WIN 25.0 프로그램을 사용하였다. 그리고 매개효과검증은 Baron&Keeny(1986)의 3단계 매개효과 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 초등학생의 봉사활동과 주관적 행복감의 관계에서 리더십 생활기술은 완전매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 자기개발활동과 주관적 행복감의 관계에서도 리더십 생활기술은 완전매개하고 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 이와 같은 연구결과를 토대로 초등학생의 주관적 행복감을 높이기 위해 리더십 생활기술인 커뮤니케이션과 조직관리기술을 향상할 수 있는 실천기술을 개발하기 위한 방안을 논하였다.
