모바일 결제시스템의 여러 가지 특성에 힘입어 많은 이용자는 언제 어디서나 시간과 장소의 제한 없이 다양한 제품을 손쉽게 구입할 수 있게 되었다. 이러한 측면에서 본 연구는 모바일 결제시스템의 특성(보안성, 호환성, 효율성, 경제성, 신뢰성)에 대한 인식도가 모바일 결제시스템 사용자들의 특성(인구통계적 특성, 모바일 결제시스템 이용특성)에 따라 어떻게 달라지는가를 실증적으로 규명하고자 하였다. 한국과 중국의 모바일 결제시스템 사용자들을 대상으로 설문조사를 이용한 실증분석을 실시한 결과, 모바일 결제시스템 사용자들의 성별, 국적, 연령, 모바일 결제시스템 이용금액에 따라 모바일 결제시스템의 일부 특성에 대한 인식도에 있어서 차이가 존재하고 있음을 확인하였다. 본 연구를 통한 분석결과는 향후 한국과 중국에서 모바일 결제시스템의 활성화 방안 및 성공적 정착을 모색하는 연구자나 실무자들에게 여러 측면에서의 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
