전자책 서비스 중심의 병영도서관 활성화 방안

본 연구는 병사들의 독서환경 접근성을 높이고, 병영도서관의 활성화 방안을 제시하기 위하여 전자책 서비스를 중심으로 병영도서관 및 전자책 서비스 운영 현황을 분석하였으며, 병사 대상 설문조사를 실시하였다. 또한 전자책 이용현황 및 관리의 문제점을 보다 심층적으로 파악하기 위해 도서관 관계자 및 전자책 운영 실무자(담당자)와 포커스그룹 인터뷰를 진행하였다. 설문조사 결과 병사들의 부대 내 전자책 접근 환경에 대한 만족도는 낮게 나타났으며, 전자책 이용 활성화를 위해서는 부대 내 IT 환경, 기기, 접근 허용 시간 등의 환경 개선이 필요한 것으로 분석되었다. 인터뷰 결과에서는 전자도서관의 낮은 이용률 및 인지도, 전자책 보급 시 유통업체마다 각기 다른 전자책 뷰어 및 관리 시스템 문제, 진중문고 관리 및 접근성 향상을 위한 전자책 보급, 전자책 전용기기 보급 등의 문제점과 개선사항 등이 제기되었다. 이를 바탕으로 본 연구에서는 전자책 서비스 홍보 및 교육 프로그램 다양화, 전자책 운영 및 이용 증진을 위한 디바이스 및 플랫폼 활용, 전자책 라이선스 및 수서 시스템 개선, 진중문고 전자책 서비스의 단계적 도입 등의 활성화 방안을 제시하였다.
