융합교육 컨설팅에 대한 융합교육 컨설턴트의 인식 탐색 -필요 요소와 개선점을 중심으로-

본 연구에서는 융합교육 컨설턴트(STEAM education consultant, SEC)를 대상으로 융합교육 컨설팅이 실제 성과를 내기 위해 필요한 요소와 융합교육 컨설팅의 개선점에 대한 인식을 알아보았다. 이전에 SEC를 한 경험이 있거나 융합교육 관련 경험이 풍부한 교사들을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였다. 먼저 융합교육 컨설팅의 성과를 위한 요소와 개선점에 대해 개방형 설문을 진행하고, 자유 응답의 내용을 분석하여 항목을 구성한 다음, 각 항목에 대해 얼마나 동의하는지 리커트 척도 상에서 응답하게 하여 통계 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과 SEC는 융합교육 컨설팅이 실제 성과를 내기 위해서 "컨설턴트와 담당 교원의 공감대 형성", "이전 컨설팅 결과 반영에 대한 컨설턴트의 피드백"과 "담당 교원에 대한 격려와 지지"가 가장 필요하다고 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 융합교육 컨설팅의 개선점으로는 "컨설턴트들 간의 사례 및 의견 공유", "컨설팅 모범 사례 선정 및 공유", "공개수업 등 다양한 컨설팅 형태 개발"이 가장 높은 동의를 얻었다. 이 결과를 기반으로 STEAM 컨설팅의 효과성을 높일 수 있는 지원 방안에 대해 제안하였다.
