연구 목적 : 본 연구는 회중론적 관점에서 한국교회의 3040세대에 대한 보다 비판적이고 통전적인 이해를 통하여 3040세대 회중을 향한 보다 합당한 목양를 실천할 수 있는 교육목회적 함의점들을 발견하는데 목적이 있다. 연구 내용 및 방법 : 먼저, 회중론과 교육목회와의 연계성에 대한 성서적, 신학적, 교육적 근거들을 살펴보았다. 그리고 3040세대에 대한 연령 발달적, 신앙발달적, 사회문화적 접근을 통해 3040세대의 회중론적 이해와 특징들을 기술하였고, 회중론적 관점에서 본 3040세대에 대한 교육목회적 함의점들을 제시하였다. 결론 및 제언 : 본 연구는 한국교회 3040세대의 특징과 세대간 역동성을 주목하며 회중론적 관점에서 네가지 교육목회적 함의로서 1) 다양한 가정유형을 고려한 가정친화적 교육목회로의 전환, 2) 복음과 삶의 이슈가 만나는 전생애주기적 제자양육으로의 강화, 3) 올라인 목회(all-line ministry)를 기반으로 하는 협업형 소그룹의 강화, 4) 더 나은 세상을 향한 창의적이고 복음적인 ESG 사역의 개발과 실천을 제언하였다.
