This paper is to find out the overall aspects and characteristics of the poems for children printed in Manseonilbo, which is the news magazine of Japanese Kwantung Army in Manchu in the late period of Imperial Japan, Being different from its predecessors, this study deals with not only the poems in the photographic edition but also the ones in the papers issued after the photographic edition in order to expand the object of discussion. Results of this study can be identified as follows: 1. The number of poems for children in Manseonjibo is much bigger than that of the literatures for children in Maejishinbo. From this fact, we can infer that contribution of literatures for children in Manchu, outside of Korea, was more active than that within Korea. 2. When assorting the poems for children in Manseonilbo by their authors, we can find out that there were a lot of works by the writers who were born or living in Manchu, such as Kim Yeonho; Lee Honam; Lee Sulgeon; Yeom Hoyeol; Han Haesu; Kim Hosuk; Chae Taekryong; Choi Subok; Song Cheolli. In contrast, some writers like Nam Daewu; Yun Donghyang; Jang Siwuk; Jeong Dongyeong; Lee Insu; Lee Gyuyeop; Cha Chilseon submitted their poems to the paper, even from Korea. 3. Poems for children in Manseonilbo can be classified into three categories: Acceptance of optimistic world-view and colonialism discourse; Embodiment of post-ideological world-view and genuine discourse; Possibility of critical world-view and post-colonial discourse. 4. Optimistic world-view and colonial discourse embracing the mottos promoted by Imperial Japan-Harmonious Imperial Union and Utopia Ruled by Japanese King-are reflected in some poems for children written by Lee Honam. Kim Ryeonho and Chae Taekryong. 5. Poems for children of genuine discourse describe the objects brightly and optimistically or glamorize the real world as beautiful and fantastic one. Lee Sulgeon, Kim Ryeonho, Yun Donghyang, Song Cheolli and many other writers wrote this kind of poems. 6. Works by Lee Seongdeok, Lee Sulgeon, Jang Siwuk and Jeong Dongyeong show the possibility of post-colonial discourse characterized as ambiguity attitude to objects of poems. Although these poems have some limitations as they are not directly against colonial discourse, they are to be worthy of attention since they reflect on the fictionality of colonial discourse and capture the cracks.
