Zusammenfassung Gel-basierte Elektroden für die Encephalographie (EEG) haben einige Erschwernisse bei ihrer Applikation. Elektrodengel ist notwendig um die Impedanz zwischen den Elektroden und der Haut zu veringern. Die Haut muss für die Vorbereitung unter jeder Elektrode abgerieben werden, was auch unangenehm für den Probanden sein kann. Trockenelektroden bieten dabei eine gute Alternative. Sie können schnell und für den Probanden angenehm auf der Kopfhaut platziert werden. Eine besondere Anwendung von EEG-Elektroden findet sich in Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI). BCI Systeme nutzen verschiedene EEG Signaltypen für ihre Steuerung und Bedienung: P300, Steady-State Visual evozierte Potentiale und Event-Related Desynchronisation. In diesem Artikel werden Trockenelektroden vorgestellt und mit Gel-basierten EEG Elektroden verglichen mit besonderen Fokus auf ihre Anwendung in BCI Systemen.
