Prescriptions composed of Ginseng Radix, Paeoniae Radix, Cinnamoni Cortex and Hoelen with Glycyrrhizae Radix, PYUNGWEE-SAN and DAEKUMEUM-JA composed of Magnoliae Cortex, Atractylodis Rhizoma, Glycyrrhizae Radix with Aurantii nobilis Pericarpium, and SONGSUNGKI-TANG and HUBAKSAMMUL-TANG composed of R
Prescriptions composed of Ginseng Radix, Paeoniae Radix, Cinnamoni Cortex and Hoelen with Glycyrrhizae Radix, PYUNGWEE-SAN and DAEKUMEUM-JA composed of Magnoliae Cortex, Atractylodis Rhizoma, Glycyrrhizae Radix with Aurantii nobilis Pericarpium, and SONGSUNGKI-TANG and HUBAKSAMMUL-TANG composed of Rhei Rhizoma and Ponciri Fructus with Magnoliae Cortex for the studies of the fundamental formulation of the traditional herbal medicinal polyprescriptions were selected. This project was performed with the scope and area of the study as follows. 1) Research of the fundamental formulation of traditional herbal medicinal polyprescrition (THMP) recorded in the Oriental Medicinal Reference. 2) statistical Analysis were conducted by means of the formula and rule of THMP recorded in Sang-han-lun (傷寒論) and Gum-Goe-yo-rak (金櫃要約) 3) The extracted amounts of reference or active components in mainly herbs which compose of THMP, such as glycyrrhizin of Glycyrrhizae Radix, hesperidin of Aurantii nobilis Pericarpium and magnolol of Magnoliae Cortex were measured in water extraction. 4) The absorption rate of glycyrrhizin, hesperidin and magnolol in the THMP which contains Glycyrrhizae Radix, Aurantii nobilis Pericarpium and Magnoliae Cortex were estimated in the small intestine of rats in situ. 5) The metabolism of glycyrrhizin, hesperidin and magnolol in the THMP which contains Glycyrrhizae Radix, Aurantii nobilis Pericarpium-and Magnoliae Cortex by the intestinal bacteria and rat liver homogenate were estimated. 6) The blood levels of glycyrrhizin, hesperidin and magnolol in the THMP which contains Glycyrrhizae Radix, Aurantii nobilis Pericarpium and Magnoliae Cortex in rats were performed. 7) The inhibitory effects of each herb composed of the THMP which contains Glycyrrhizae Radix, Aurantii nobilis Pericarpium and Magnoliae Cortex on the contraction induced by acetylcholine and barium chloride in the isolated ileum of mice were estimated. 8) The inhibitory effects of each herb which composed the THMP which contains Glycyrrhizae Radix, Aurantii nobilis Pericarpium and Magnoliae Cortex on the scanvenger activiites and hyaluronidase, etc. were estimated in vitro. 9) The pharmacological interactions with each herb composded of the THMP which contains Glycyrrhizae Radix, Aurantii nobilis Pericarpium and Magnoliae Cortex on the writhing syndrome induced by acetic acid and the hypnotic duration induced by pentobarbital-Na, etc. in mice were estimated.
