성지식 측정 결과 본 연구의 대상자들은 성병의 전파경로와 증상에 대한 내용과 임신생리, 성폭력에 대한 정답률이 다른 항목에 비해 현저하게 낮았다. 일반적인 특성에 따른 성지식은 성별, 지역, 대학종류, 전공, 병역여부에 따라 차이가 있었다. 성 관련 태도는 성의식, 성행위, 순결, 이중적 성 가치관, 음란매체, 성에 대한 미신에 대한 항목을 조사하였으며, 성별, 지역, 대학종류, 전공에 따라 차이가 있었다. 성행동은 이성교제, 키스나 포옹, 포르노 잡지/비디오 접촉, 자위행위, 패팅, 구강성교, 음란대화, 항문성교, 동성성교 순으로 빈도가 높게 나타났다. 대학생의 성경험을 조사한 결과, 남학생은 50.8%, 여학생은 19.0%가 성교 경험이 있었으며, 빈도는 남녀 모두 ‘비정기적으로 총 5회 이상 10회 미만’이 가장 많았다. 성적 욕구는 남녀 모두 ‘취미나 운동으로 해소’하고 있었다. 성교를 하게 된 동기는 ‘사랑하기 때문에’가 가장 많았고, 성교를 주로 하는 곳은 남학생은 ‘여관’, 여학생은 ‘본인(상대방)집’이 가장 많았다. 피임 실천 비율은 ‘항상 한다.’가57.9%였으며, 남녀 모두 가장 많이 사용하는 방법은 콘돔이었다. 성교통등 성교 시의 불편감은 남학생의 경우 11.9%, 여학생의 경우 24.4%로 남학생에 비해 여학생이 현저히 높았으며, 성병 경험자는 남학생의 4.4%, 여학생의 2.2%였다. 방광염 경험자는 남학생의 2.5%, 여학생의 4.9%였으며. 생식기 피부질환 경험자는 남학생의 7.0%, 여학생의 7.3%였다. 성행위 보조기구 사용경험자는 남학생은 12.1%, 여학생은 5.9%였다. 성교 경험자 중 낙태경험자는 8.6% 이었다. 낙태로 인한 합병증 발생 빈도는 32.7%였으며 가장 많이 발생한 합병증은 출혈(30.3%)이었다.
대학생의 성교육 관련 실태 및 요구도를 조사한 결과, 초등학교, 중학교, 고등학교 때는 대부분 성교육을 받은 경험이 있었으나 대학교 때의 성교육경험은 20.3%로 비교적 저조한 편이었다. 성관련 강좌 참여 희망도에 대해서는 33.6%의 대학생이 참여하겠다고 하였다. 가장 필요로 하는 교육 내용은 피임법(41.4%)이었으며, 가장 희망하는 성교육 실시방법은 ‘특별강의(30.3%)’였다. 마지막으로 생식건강 위해요인에 대한 조사 결과, 25.8%가 흡연을 하고 있었으며, 72.2%는 음주를 하고 있었다. 대학생의 사이버섹스 중독 실태를 조사한 결과, 비교적 중증이라고 판단되는 중독집단은 전체의 14.3%, 초기중독집단은 20.0%로 중독 상태인 학생이 34.3%로 나타났다. 대학생의 혼전동거에 대한 태도 실태를 조사한 결과, 전체 응답자 중 10.6%가 허용적인 태도를 가진 것으로 나타났고, 동거 경험 집단과 비경험 집단간의 성태도는 유의한 차이가 없었다.

According to the result derived from sexual knowledge, the percentage of correct answers was relatively low in the items on the propagation and symptoms of sexually transmitted disease, pregnancy and menstruation, and sexual violence. Regarding sexual knowledge on general characteristics, there were differences depending on sex, area, type of colleges, major, and completion of military service. For the sexual attitude, sexual consciousness, sexual intercourse, virginity, sexual double standard, obscenity, and superstition on sex were surveyed.
The frequency of sexual behaviors was shown to be high in the order of relationship, kiss or hugging, contact to pornography media, masturbation, patting, oral sex, obscene conversation, anal sex, and same sex intercourse. According to the results derived on sexual experience of college students, 50.8% of male students reported to have the experience of sexual intercourse while being reported among 19.0% of female students. For the reason of having an intercourse, ‘Because I love my partner’ was mostly answered, and major place of intercourse was ‘a motel’ among male students and ‘my house (Partner’s house)’ for female students. In terms of frequency, ‘Non-regular, more than 5 times and less than 10 times’ was most answer reported in both male and female students. Regarding sexual desire, both male and female students reported to ‘solve desire through hobbies or exercise.’
Regarding contraception practice, 57.9% reported ‘always.’ Mostly used contraceptive measure in both male and female students was a condom. The uncomfortableness during intercourse was reported among 11.9% of male students and it was remarkably higher among female students as 24.4% of them reported it. The experiences of sexually transmitted disease were 4.4% of male and 2.2% of female students. In case of cystitis, 2.5% of male and 4.9% of female students reported while 7.0% of male and 7.3% of female students reported skin ailment at reproductive organs. For the experience of using a sex toy, 12.1% of male and 5.9% female students reported respectively. Among the students who experienced intercourses, the experience of abortion were 8.6%. The frequency of having complications by the abortion was 32.7% and the most frequently reported complication was bleeding (30.35%).
Most participants in this study said that they received sex education in their elementary, middle, and high schools. Having sex education in college years was low with 20.3% of ratio. Regarding the level of satisfaction of the past sex education, 50% of students reported to be ‘average.’ For the intention of participating in sex-education related lecture, 33.6% students reported to be positive. The most demanded education was contraceptive measures (41.4%) and most desired method of sex education was ‘special lecture (30.3%).’ Lastly, a survey was made on the harmful factors of reproductive health and 25.8% reported ‘smoking’ and 72.2% said ‘drinking.’
According to the result made on the reality of cyber-sex addition among college students, the seriously addicted group took 14.3% from the total ratio while 20.2% was at the beginning stage of the addiction. It showed that 34.3% of the students were in the seriously addicted stage. Depending on sex, area, major, type of college, completion of military service, marital state, cohabitation, current residential state, and household state, there was difference in the addictive level of cyber-sex.
According to the survey on the attitude of pre-marital cohabitation among college students, 10.6% out of the total respondents showed permissive attitude and there was no significant difference in sexual attitude between the cohabitation experienced and non-cohabitation experienced groups.
