고속선 선로구축물(궤도,토공,교량,미기압파)의 속도 증속과 거동관의 상관관계를 해석, 시험, 현장시험을 통해 규명하기 위해 Test-Bed 구간 내 선로구축물 거동평가 모니터링 시스템과 증속시험을 통한 시험평가데이터를 구축함. 여기에 대한 분석결과를 토대로 향후 400km/h급 증속을 위한 선로구축물의 요구조건 (Require-ment)을 도출하고 설계지침(안) 도출을 개발 제시함.

1. Purpose of R&D
The objectives for "Study on design standards of track systems for the high-speed railway at 400km/h" are summarized hereafter
▪ This project aims to have reliable test date by the monitoring and technology development, and publish new design standards of the railway infra structure for 400km/h high speed railway. In regarding with gathering the data, speed-up tests from 350km/h up to 400km/h in Ho-Nam high speed railway, which is designed for 350km/h, are conducted for maintenance and traffic stability.
The 2nd phase of the main research products are listed below.
▪ Development of track monitering systems on Test-Bed section
▪ Interface and adviory council
▪ Analysis of track sections and the factors of design variable changes for high speed up velocity parameters and design changed
▪ Dynamic structural analysis for railway bridges and transition zone
▪ Slab track laboratory test for correlation between dynamic modulus of elasticity and track
▪ Analysis of design code trends, test bed result and monitoring zone
▪ Program development of residual settlement estimates on trackbed
▪ management for trackbed monitering systems
▪ Analysis of correlation for railway with track, trackbed and velocity
2. Needs for R&D
A. Technical side
Track construction systems are not only influence on vibration, noise, construction & operation cost directly, but also the structural safety of the track structure and the operational stability of the train. The track system which is the basis of the railroad is committed to sustaining the stability and ride quality of the train running at high speed. Although the Korean high speed railway technology has been accomplished successfully such as the track structure analysis mechanism and design technology from these efforts, exporting our technologies to foreign countries need to be developed. Technical side like the cost of maintenance are significantly expected to stimulate the growth due to decrease designed axial load of the EMU high speed rail system at 130kN, while next generation high speed train project is developed and rearranged to aim at 430km/h of maximum speed. Furthermore, the Korean high speed railway is changed to concrete track
The present Korean design standards apply the foreign management standards which were established their own experience & information of construction and operation for decades. A previous role was implemented to learn advanced skills like fast- followers, however we need to innovate in our abilities in order to improve competitiveness in railway services.
As the train operation speed which reaches to 400km/h of maximum operation speed is one of the most important mission through the world, it is absolutely hard to get related information of the high speed train project. Therefore, to ensure Korea's possession of the fundamental technologies, a long term of data capture is required to analyze the various dynamic behavior and performance evaluation.
The manual will install monitoring zone of track construction systems in Ho-Nam high speed line as well as analyze related data which is items of velocity-sensitive parameters such as correlation of velocity and decrease of axial load, and evaluation of the system performance using the items.The technical case of speed-up from 350km/h up to 400km/h, track structure systems can conduct performance evaluation of related factors, information & measure for maintenance and traffic stability. This project aims to have reliable data through trial monitoring and technology development. The high-speed rail track manual, which incorporates all the efforts and accomplishments with regard to the development projects, is expected to be utilized for implementing a systematic training program, thereby paving the way for the introduction of our unique Korea-type high-speed rail technologies in overseas markets further development of railroad technologies in the near future.
B. Financial side
Domestic design standards will be developed to publish independent code for a long term of systematic information capture from trial monitoring zone, therefore train industry will increase its competitiveness in the global high speed train line market. From the effort, track construction field also will boost balanced economic development and green growth with government supporting.
C. Social-cultural side
The KTX high-speed rail track, which incorporates all the efforts and accomplishments with regard to the development projects, is expected to be utilized for implementing the national rail network.Especially 5 metropolitan areas in Korea will make the most of their own characteristics by high speed railway
