본 사업의 수행으로 양식 해조류와 패류의 채취·양륙 간소화 및 작업인원을 감축 함으로써 수산물 생산성 증대 및 어업인의 소득증대가 기대됨. 또한 고부가가치형 수산기자재 산업 육성 및 국산화로 수입대체 및 수출 확대로 경제 활성화와 수산업 미래 산업화에 크게 기여할 것으로 예상됨.

○ An urgent national solution is positively necessary to secure a stable food resources directly related to national security and survival, therefore domestic fisheries should be improve based on traditional paradigm, in order to remain competitive on these global free trade market, satisfy market demand, and to prepare for weaponized food. To enhance marine-fisheries equipment, development of the equipment should be preferentially performed against eco, climate change, and aging etc.
○ Current fisheries is high-risk industry requiring labor a lot, while it is a prospective industry to enable new industry creation through fusion of machine and/or IT
○ In addition, studies for the production increase to improve the labor efficiency against reduction of culture pond and fisheries population and alternative of labor force followed by worker’s aging are required, as well as fisheries equipment should be developed to support these problems.
○ In this research, measurements on development of materials and component of fisheries equipment and smart promotion technical development are prepared through the convergence with high-technology, and systematic strategy and plan on fisheries equipment R&D will be established to promote the fisheries equipment and to realize in the future fisheries.
○ Therefore, project promotion is supported focused on the development of technology with high field application possibility and industrialization. And setting priorities of support and budgetary participation are carried out, since the higher-value of fisheries equipment utilizing the domestic strength and generic technology and a field run parallel with source core technology development are excavated,
○ Because the range of fisheries equipment is not defined in the present, the research planning is focused on the cultivating fishery and fishing vessel fishery classified as distinct fisheries equipment.
○ Current problem of fisheries equipment is understood as old age of fishing village, eco-fisheries promotion, climate change, the increase in the female population, weakening fisheries service, and increase of small fisheries. The development of fisheries equipment considering theses problems is based on the eight elements of mechanization, automation, solution of environmental problem, countermeasure against environmental change, consolidation of facility stability, ease of management, activation of a growth industry, reduction of production cost, and reduction of manpower.
○ Based on urgency of problem solution, field demand survey including the fisherman, equipment enterprises, and experts is performed and the planning is deducted based on the policy issues such as major government projects and the related department R&D plans. Since then, four projects were deducted through redundancy review of R&D performed in the related organization such as the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, National Fisheries Research & Development Institute, the Ministry of Industry, and Trade and Resources.
○ Deduction project are divided into "laborsaving type", "value-added type", "localization and standardization" and, "environmental adaptation type" and a total of 27 particular business are derived based on three theme from the each core subject of the project.
○ A total of 20 billion won are invested on development of the fisheries equipment industry and the quantitative expectation effect is estimated to be 32.9 billion worth of production inducement and 15.9 billion worth of value-added inducement. If the productivity of fisheries increase from 0.6% to 1.2 %, the production inducement effect and the value-added inducement effect are expected to be increased from a yearly-low of 287.5 billion won to a yearly-high 575.3 billion won and from low 96.7 billion won to high 193.3 billion won, respectively.
○ Moreover, job and employment opportunities are induced for 262 people job and employment and increasing productivity rate can lead jobs for a yearly-low of 759 to high of 1,517 people and employment of a yearly-low of 308 to high of 616 people.
○ By field, in fisheries, the movement and/or collection of fisheries production is easy and improvement of the existing problems, growth of production, and smart-management system through the standardization of fisheries construction is expected. Also, in fishing, lone working in the coastal fishing boat, and unmanned automatic system are expected to be possible, which can contribute to the overall development of fisheries equipment industry.
○ In the qualitative aspects, it can effectively cope with the decrease in labor force by depopulation in the fishing village and aging/increase of female rate and oceanic environment change such as climate change. Besides, it is expected to leap technically and academically based on the clean aquatic products.
