The purpose of this study is to enlighten what is the defect-complementary method of Fengshui, which is called ‘Bi-bo Fengshui(裨補風水)’, and how was it applied in Korean Academics in Korean Seowon Architecture. The application cases of defect-complementary Fengshui are investigated, with five on Kyonggi province, five on Kyongsang province, one on Honam province and two on Kangwon province of the whole 47 Korean Academics for classical learning in Korean Seowon Architecture. As a result, in Korean Academics for classical learning trees and ponds were well located with accurately analyzing and complementing defects of the ground, such as ‘Pal-yo-hwang-cheon-sal(八曜黃泉殺)’ and ‘Pal-lo-sa-ro-hwang-cheon-sal(八路四路黃泉殺)’. Therefore the landscape factor was used for not only its own landscaping purpose but a solution of Fengshui problem on the ground.
