This thesis is to study on the identity of the body of believer after resurrection. For this purpose, it is composed of several stages as follows. First, this thesis attempts to understand the coherence of the body of believer after resurrection in chapter 15 of 1 Corinthians through the comprehending of the philosophical background of I Corinthians by means of an analogical inference of the time of recording. Second, it surveys commentaries on the I Corinthians for a better understanding of the chapter in question. Third, it establishes the foundation for the comprehension of what part of man would be the body after resurrection and assesses the viewpoint of the Berea anthropology of Ki Dong Kim by comparing it with the Pauline anthropology. Fourth, it considers that anthropology is connected with the conception of resurrection through the discussion of Reformist anthropology, and examines what differences exist between the humanistic trend of thought and the conception of resurrection in the Bible through the argument of liberalist anthropology. And finally, it compares the body of Jesus after the Resurrection with the body of believer and the relation between the flesh of Him and the spirit of believer for the conclusion what the body of believer after resurrection is. This thesis tries to put in order the opinions related to the body after resurrection. A. Hoekma's opinion(Reformist anthropology) is that flesh resurrects in the time of resurrection, because even the outer shape of man is the image of God and the resurrection aims for the image of God to be fulfilled. J. Moltmann(liberalist anthropology) does not accept the death-after life but seems to have hope for the resurrection. He concludes, however, that the words of the Bible which tells that the body of man would be changed by the Spirit of resurrection are mere philosophical fragments of life. W. Pannenberg(liberalist anthropology) regards man as the body of unity and insists that the symbol transcending death should be the physical regeneration, but he does not get out of the conception that this life is all. J. A. Schep(Reformist anthropology) maintains that if we say that the body of man cannot enter the Heaven, it would mean the body of Jesus which is made up of flesh and bones cannot enter it neither, therefore man cannot enter it without his physical body that is the image of God. While on the other hand, Ki Dong Kim regards that the Resurrection of Jesus is the model of believer's. In other words, the physical body of believer has nothing to do with the body after resurrection, but the spirit of believer is changed into the spiritual body of resurrection along with his personality at the time of resurrection. The thesis demonstrates that the spirit of believer is changed into the body after resurrection at the time of the last resurrection. And the basis of this argument is as follows: The Bible says that the Resurrection of Jesus is the model of believer. But His body did not decay because His body is the one that is derived from the Word and It cannot be compared with that of man. The body of man was created as an instrument for Jesus, the Son of God to taste and experience the death in this (material) world. The body of man has no other use than it and it has no relation with the Heaven. On the contrary, the body of Jesus is on the same level with the spirit of man - we can realize it in the truth that the agony of the body of Jesus saves the spirit of man and it affects the spirit of man primarily - and the body of believer after resurrection should be the new spiritual one which is turned from his spirit. The body of believer after resurrection has nothing to do with his flesh. For it comes from his spirit.
