Targeting adolescents in the 2nd grade of high school, the purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between the deference depending on gender and school system as to adolescent's deviant behaviors, and personal, family, school and friend relational variables as to deviant behaviors, and to grasp the relative influence of these variables. To do this, the research matters, which were established in this study, are as follows. 1. Is there difference in adolescent‘s deviant behaviors depending on gender and school system? 2. What about the relationship between adolescent‘s deviant behaviors and the personal, family, school and friend relational variables depending on gender? 3. What about the relative influence of personal, family, school and friend relational variables upon adolescent‘s deviant behaviors depending on gender? Aiming to examine into the research matters, it targeted adolescents in the 2nd grade who are attending 4 schools, by 2 schools each in humanities and vocational high schools that are located in downtown Busan. In terms of a research tool, it used items that ask deviant-behavior scale, self-esteem scale, antisocial-behavior scale, communication-with-parent scale, maltreatment-experience scale, maladaptation-to-school scale, the scale for deviant behaviors in peer group, and the background variables. It carried out the main survey after passing through the preliminary research, and used the final 897 sheets for data analysis. It conducted two-way ANOVA, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's product moment correlation coefficient, and hierarchical regression analysis, by using SPSS/Win version 10.0. Given summarizing and concluding the major results that were indicated in this study, those are as follows. First, adolescent‘s deviant behaviors were shown to be varied in the sexual difference depending on school system. In other words, adolescent‘s deviant behaviors have no difference between male and female students in case of vocational high schools, but given being humanities high schools, male students have more deviant behaviors than female students. Also, adolescent‘s deviant behaviors were indicated to be identical in the difference depending on school system regardless of gender. Namely, vocational high-school students have more deviant behaviors than humanities high-school students. Second, the higher the Sensation seeking trait, there are more deviant behaviors in male and female students. Also, in case of female students, the lower the self-esteem, there are more deviant behaviors. Third, in terms of the deviant behaviors in male and female students, the more the communication with a mother and the communication with a father are open, the less they are, and the more the physical maltreatment, emotional mistreatment, noninterference from parents, the more they are. Fourth, in terms of the deviant behaviors in male and female students, the more the maladaptation to learning-activity sphere, to conformity with rules, to relationship with a teacher, and to intersexual relations, the more they are. In case of female students, the more maladaptation to the relationship with friends, the more there are deviant behaviors. Fifth, in terms of the deviant behaviors in male and female students, the more the behavior problems of a peer group at school, the more there are deviant behaviors. Sixthly, it was indicated that the most importantly predicted variable, which has influence upon adolescent's deviant behaviors, is the behavior problem in a peer group that is the friend relational variable, regardless of gender, and next, the deviant behaviors were shown to be influenced by, in case of male students, the order in the Sensation seeking trait that is personal variable, the emotional-maltreatment experience that is family variable, the school system and the maladaptation to school that are school variables, and in case of female students, by the order in Sensation seeking trait that is personal variable, and the school system and the maladaptation to school that are school variables.
