The purposes of this study are not only to investigate the current status of injuries that members in regular Badminton clubs and other professional Badminton players could get during playing the sport but also to prevent and manage those injuries with measures that would accurately deal with the injuries. In order to achieve the research goal, the study conducted a survey targeting a total of 250 members in Badminton clubs and other 250 Badminton players in those professional Badminton teams both in Jeonbuk and Chungnam. Of the responded data, 200 valid samples from each group were analyzed, and the results from the analysis are presented as follows. 1. As for the question on what has made both of the groups start playing Badminton, most of the respondents answered either that they did so only voluntarily or that they were playing the sport on the recommendation of other people. The greatest number of the Badminton Amateur would participate in the sport for three~five days a week while most of the professional players would play the sport six days a week. 2. The members of the regular Badminton club would prefer playing in the evening the most but when it comes to the professional players, they would play Badminton basically in the afternoon. In most cases, both groups would use indoor gymnasiums to enjoy the sport. 3. The study learned that the professional players usually spend more than 20 minutes on warm-ups and warm-downs and that the Amateur warm up for about five minutes but hardly do those warm-down exercises. 4. Most of the Badminton players in the both groups answered that they have been injured, and they have been hurt at least once or twice so far. 5. The respondents said that they get injured often in the winter. Their possibility of getting hurt would increase the most when it is cold and, most of the Badminton players in the research answered that the cause of the injury is frequently based on this lack of warm-ups. 6. In terms of which part of a body is most likely to get injured, the Badminton Amateur picked the ankles. The floor of the court was considered the most dangerous injuring tool, and most of the Amateur responded that they get hurt on muscles or tendons. Under the same situation, the professional players would be injured on the tendons the most. 7. Both of the groups would get a treatment usually at hospitals or oriental medical clinics. Most of the Badminton players in the research consider the warm-ups as the best way for them to prevent injuries.
