This study has started a point that the family can be drawn as a strong enabler that can increase the possibility of its employment success by providing a variety of family support to a job-applicant child and by promoting cooperation between family members in hard job-seeking and stressful situations. The research questions for this study are as follows. First, how was the job-seeking stress of job-applicants? Second, how was the job-seeking stress`s coping style of job-applicants? Third, how was the family support for job-applicants? Fourth, how was the family strategy for employment success of child? Fifth, how was the path of child`s employment success developed? The 10 participants who had prepared for employment after graduation and have got a job recently were selected by snowball sampling and an intensive interview was made. This study focused and analyzed on job-applicant`s processing for employment success and after all drew out 12 upper categories and 30 sub categories in total 4 fields. The 4 fields were categorized into 'job-seeking stress', 'coping styles', 'family support' and 'family strategy'. In order to identify and compare the case`s difference and similarity, this study applied the research method utilizing Miles & Huberman(1994)`s matrix and network model and drew out the research. First, job applicants were proved to be different levels of job-seeking stress from low, medium to high. When the stress was low, it showed a mild depression with positive managements, and when the stress was medium, there were seen a number of psychological symptoms such as irritability and frustration. When the job-seeking stress was high with a lot of frustration and failure during the prolonged preparation period of employment over 1-2 years, it showed symptoms of psychological and physical health weakness like emotional instability, depression, insomnia, rapid weight gain, etc. Second, 50% of job-applicant children with a job seeking stress in this study coped with job-seeking stress through the `refreshment' type, 30% were involved in the `competitive spirit' type, and the rest of 20% were in the `frustrated isolation' type. Third, in this study, all families who had employment success of child provided emotional support most and provided economic support as much as possible depending on the family condition. Information support was provided relatively lower than the other supports. The 70% of the children got full economic support from the family and the remaining rest got no economic support. A majority of the 60 % were involved in the `providing general information' type, the 20% were in the `parents` mobilization' type and the rest were in the `non-intervention' type. As the family's emotional support, there were the `unconditional support type' providing all emotional supports, encouragement, trust, receiving and caring, cheering up, the 'burden-type' sharing with frequent job-related questions and employment concerns and comparing with the surrounding friends and the 'insensitive type' with self-control and providing only day-to-day dialogue for emotional support. After all, in all cases, positive emotional support was seen to the overall, because they were based on sufficient trust and understanding through the obtained good child - parents relationship. Fourth, in this study, family strategies for employment were drawn into three types, the `united by one goal' type that all family members cooperate with, the 'no-touch' type that the family seemed to stay and look in silence to reinforce the further emotional support and help children's self-regulation and management so thoroughly done and the `reality adjustment' type that considered the real situation and adjusts the employment`s evaluation level. Fifth, the paths of employment success were stereotyped into the three types of network. First, the job-applicants of the 'refreshment type' with medium and lower level of stress got all kinds of economic, informational and emotional supports from family and eventually led to employment success through the family coping strategy of the 'united by one goal' type. Second, the job applicants of the 'competitive spirit' type with medium and upper level of stress got the other types of supports except economic support ended to employment success through the 'no-touch' strategy just staying and looking calmy not to give any burden and pressure. Third, the job applicants of the 'frustrated isolation' type with upper level of stress led to employment success through the family strategy, the `reality adjustment' type of getting the medium level of the support and lowering the employment`s evaluation level using communication with comfort and persuasion. In conclusion, under the condition of the cumulative job-seeking stress, family with job-applicant child would be able to give child the control-effect to adjust job-seeking stress and lead to child`s employment success through providing appropriate family supports and strategies and emotional family support is the most important thing to help employment success of job-applicant child. The results of this study would be the new directions of research on family`s coping strategies for employment success in the future and be the efficient evidence of building up education and counselling program for parents to use an appropriate family strategy for child.
