The purpose of this study is to develop the problem of problem-based learning(PBL) in the art subject lesson and to suggest the teaching-leaning design plan accordingly. At present, the curriculum of art aims to foster an entire human being who can understand objects through aesthetic sensibilities and intuition, enjoy life creatively, and inherit and develop art culture. Problem-based learning can be expected to provide a good direction for leading to practical solutions by making art classes active, concentrated and understood well. In problem-based learning, 'problem' is not a simple answer but a non-structural problem, that is, a practical problem that can have various solutions intertwined in reality. This problem can be defined as an educational approach that allows students to expect the effects of learning with various factors that can be obtained by self-solving, and to prepare a solution by individual learning and cooperative learning and that learning occurs in the process. Problem-based learning leads to the interest of students and allows them to learn on their own so that they can transfer and apply knowledge to their own learning. As the group progresses, the social cooperative learning ability also improves. The most important value of problem-based learning is the creative problem solving ability which is one of the abilities to pursue in school education. An undefined problem has no clear goals and objectives, and there are many different approaches to the solution. Flexibility in cognitive processing is needed to find new solutions, and multiple clues to complex problems are presented and several alternative solutions are allowed. Through problem-based learning that enables them to identify and solve these problems, creative problem solving based on creative thinking, critical thinking, and professional knowledge can be developed. Looking at the curriculum of art, it seems to have put a lot of effort into the combination of curriculum centered on core competencies, the integrated growth of students, and the convergence of subjects. The PBL model is a learning model that can be accessed without undermining the students' integrated growth and the nature of the art subject so it can be said that it is more appropriate for the current curriculum. Problem-based learning leads to the interest in the form of active and participatory lessons, and is not knowledge to memorize but acquires knowledge and transforms itself. Therefore, it's a form that is useful in real life, can help a lot of students, and is also in line with human resources which the society wants. We propose this study to help teachers conduct PBL lessons in classroom research.
