This study aims ultimately to reduce emotional labor and job stress and to improve the efficiency of nursing practice by comparing and analyzing emotional labor, job stress, and nursing performance of nurses in integrated nursing and care service ward and nurses in general ward and looking at the correlation. The subjects of this study were nurses working in four hospitals in three regions where that integrated nursing and care services are being provided. A total of 170 copies were distributed in consideration of the dropout rate and the collected 151 data were finally analyzed. The collected data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, χ2 test, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffé test, and Pearson's correlation coefficient using the SPSS WIN 22.0 program. The results of this study are as follows. 1. Analysis results of emotional labor, job stress, and nursing performance of nurses in integrated nursing and care service ward and nurses in general ward showed that in case of nurses in integrated nursing and care services ward, emotional labor was an average of 3.42 out of 5, job stress was an average of 3.55 out of 5, and nursing performance was an average of 3.33 out of 5. In case of nurses in general ward, emotional labor was an average of 3.37 points out of 5 and job stress was an average of 3.54 out of 5 points. Nursing performance was an average of 3.32 out of 5. However, there was no statistically significant difference. 2. The statistically significant areas in terms of differences between the nurses in integrated nursing and care service ward and the nurses in general ward according to general characteristics were the age of nurses in integrated nursing and care service ward. 3. Analysis result of correlation in emotional labor, job stress, and nursing performance of nurses in integrated nursing and care service ward and nurses in general ward showed that there was a statistically significant positive correlation between emotional labor and job stress in the integrated nursing and care service ward and there was also a statistically significant positive correlation between nursing performance and emotional labor. There was a statistically significant positive correlation between nursing job stress and performance as well. There was a statistically significant positive correlation between emotional labor and job stress in the nurses in general ward, and also a statistically significant positive correlation between nursing job stress and performance. However, there was no statistically significant correlation between nursing emotional labor and performance. When summarizing study results above, it has derived the result that the higher the emotional labor of nurses in integrated nursing and care service ward and nurses in general ward, the higher the job stress and the higher the degrees of nursing performance, the higher the job stress. Also, it was found that the higher the nursing performance of the nurses in integrated nursing and care service ward, the higher the emotional labor. Therefore, if establishing an institutional plan to carry out an efficient nursing work while reducing emotional labor and job stress of nurses in integrated nursing and care service ward and general ward and increasing the efficiency of nursing work by paying an intensive attention to minimizing the emotional labor that nurses in integrated nursing and care service ward are experiencing while they provide nursing service, it is considered that quality nursing and care services will be provided and ultimately, the operation of integrated nursing and care service can be made more smoothly.
