Recently, the driver assistance system (ADAS: Advanced Driver Assistance System) has been rapidly emerging as interest in comfort and stability of the driver. At the same time, the vehicle electricization is also progressing. However, this change of vehicle has become a factor of safety for the driver in the situation that the reliability of the control system of the vehicle is not perfect. In order to prevent accidents due to errors in E / E (Electric & Electronic) systems installed in vehicles, it is required to develop a reliable system to satisfy ISO26262. In this paper, we propose a trajectory estimation method that can accurately detect collision with a adjacent vehicle using the trajectory prediction method when a failure occurs in a lane keeping system (LKS: Lane Keeping System) We propose a fail-safe strategy that avoids collision with adjacent vehicles and maintains lanes through braking control. The system of this paper predicts the trajectory of the vehicle and the adjacent vehicle obtained by using the trajectory prediction method for accurate collision detection. And we used this to recognize the collision with the correct adjacent vehicle. The controller of the steering system and the braking system sets the constraint condition of the state variable, the control input, and based on the vehicle model equations of motion, it uses the MPC (Model Predictive Control) technique to converge the future behavior in the finite time to the target behavior. In this paper, we have constructed MiLS (Model in the Loop Simulation) environment including vehicle and controller model through co-simulation of MATLAB / Simulink and CarSim. As a result of the simulation, it is confirmed that collision avoidance with the adjacent vehicle and lane keeping are performed through braking control by properly recognizing the collision through the collision recognition system constructed in this paper.
