Based on data from the Financial Supervisory Service(FSS) in 2016, we have focused on 4 cosmetic brands including Innisfree, The Face Shop, Missha and Etude House. For this analysis, I.R.I monochromatic image scale and the adjective image scale, a color analysis program, are adapted to analyze the brands in terms of brand color, logo and symbol, advertisement and advertisement model image. Also, the survey was conducted on 200 adult men and women who were the main targets of the road shop cosmetics, to see if the brand image was consistent with the consumer's perception. The findings of the study are as follows: First, it is analyzed that‘Innisfree’adapted a green line as a brand color to express naturalism and many consumers responded consistently with the intentions of the company. It is identified that‘natural’images are suggestive of the natural and relaxing tones, which is seen that corporate image appropriately implemented in the perception of the consumers. Second,‘The Face Shop’was analyzed to have‘soft and gentle’image using brown color. However, consumers responded that the brand images were equable and mature and some of customers responded that the brand images were‘mild and gentle.’It was confirmed that the recognition of consumers was inconsistent with the intentions of the corporate. Third,‘Missha’was analyzed to adapt an‘elegant’image using purple series for the brand color. However, consumers responded the company images are sophisticated and mature and some responded to‘soft and mild’for the brand image. It was confirmed that the recognition of consumers was inconsistent with the ones of the corporate. Fourth,‘Etude House’was analyzed as a‘cute image’using the pink line for a brand color, and many consumers responded consistently with the intention of the company. It is confirmed that the cute and lovable image are suggestive of happy and lively images that the corporate sought for deliver. In conclusion,‘Innisfree’and‘Etude House’have built up a unified the brand image to the present from the establishment of the company without introducing a big change in the company concept, logo and symbol. In terms of advertisements and ad models that can effectively deliver brand image, Innisfree has adapted a natural image, while Etude House has a cute and lovable image that are considered being consistent with the perception of consumers and companies.‘The Face Shop’and‘Missha’have changed the concept, logo and symbol of the company from what they established at the time of establishment. Due to this reason, the consumers may have confusing or overlapping perception with existing and new images, so they do not recognize the images that the company seeks to appeal.
