첫째, 누리과정 신체운동영역의 운영현황을 살펴본 결과 수업 운영에 있어서 대부분의 유아교사는 누리과정 지침에 맞지 않게 프로그램을 편성하여 운영하고 있음이 확인되었다. 이외에도 교사 당 유아의 비율을 고려하였을 때 시설 및 공간이 충분하지 않은 것으로 조사되었다.
둘째, 누리과정 신체운동영역에 대한 유아교사와 전문가의 요구를 분석한 결과 유아교사들은 활동 공간 및 시간의 부족, 수업 전ㆍ후 및 수업 진행 시 유아통제의 어려움과 활동 중에 발생할 수 있는 안전사고문제, 신체활동에 대한 전문지식 부족에 대해 토로하였으며, 전문가들은 유아교육학과의 유아체육과목 개설 및 교사 연수의 필요성 제기, 신체운동영역의 충분한 시간 확보와 유아 신체활동 공간에 대한 법적인 규제 마련, 부모강의를 통한 학부모들의 인식 개선을 요구하였다.

Nuri Curriculum that incorporated infant education and childcare courses are provided to all Korean babies aged three to five to enhance the quality of pre-school education and ensure a fair starting point in their early lives. However, several researches have been reported that limitation of physical exercise and health area in nuri curriculum as well as its difficulties of implement. Therefore, this study was performed to examine the current state of operations in the physical exercise and health areas of the Nuri curriculum and to analyze requirement of teachers for serving various physical activity education services to infants. The results is as follows.
First, the operation status of the physical exercise area in Nuri curriculum confirmed that most of the infant teachers in the classroom were operating in a program that did not meet the Nuri curriculum guidelines. It was also found that facility and space were insufficient following the ratio of babies per teacher.
Second, teachers to teach infants based on the physical exercise and health areas of the Nuri curriculum complained that a lack of activity space and time, difficulties in controlling infants before and after classes, problems with safety accidents that could occur during activities, and lack of expertise in physical activities. In addition, experts of early childhood physical education have raised the need for teacher training for early childhood sports in the Universities, securing enough time for the physical exercise and health areas of the Nuri curriculum, creating legal regulations on infant physical activity spaces, and changing the perception of parents by providing of special lectures.
