The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the health of elderly living in long-term care facility on workers' stress by using secondary data. The independent variable is the health of the elderly residents and the gender differences in the long-term care facilities. The dependent variable are the workers' stress. We also examined the mediating effects of BPSD in the relationship between the health of the elderly and the workers' stress, which is known to be a significant factor in the stress of the worker. The research model was built with the Social Relations Model (SRM) by 5-point Likert scale and analyzed by structural equation model (SEM). The health of the elderly was classified into physical, mental, and social functions. The variables refined by the principal component were used as the independent variables. The relationship with the dependent variable, workers' stress, was confirmed by path analysis. The structural equation model(SEM) was used to identify the mediating effects of BPSD in the elderly's health and the workers' stress. Bootstrap was used to confirm the size. The results of the study are as follows. First, the stress levels of workers are nurse(3.759), care giver (3.490), nutritionist (3.257), physical therapist(3.071), social worker(2.768) and clerk(2.539) in order. The factor scores for the degree of change of stress of workers were as follows: care worker (0.92), nurse(0.79), nutritionist(0.37) and physical therapist(0.46) are in order. Second, the relationship between physical function and workers' stress was significantly correlated with nurse(-0.175), care giver(-0.174), nutritionist(-0.3,), physical therapist(-0.243), and clerk (-0.162). They showed negative relations. The relationship between mental function and workers' stress was negative, care giver(-0.387), nurse(-0.254), nutritionist(-0.087), and physical therapist(-0.096) but it was not significant level. The relationship between social function and workers' stress was negative, care giver(-0.349), nurse(-0.462), nutritionist(-0.14), physical therapist -0.212), and clerk(-0.093), The clerk was not at a significant level. Social workers had a positive relationship with worker stress for physical, mental, and social function. This is a phenomenon in which social worker duties mainly consist of elderly people who are active in function. The clerk was not a significant change in all areas. In addition, the workers were found to feel higher stress in male elderly than female elderly. Third, we compared the fit of the structural equation (SEM) with the partial mediating model and the full mediating model by setting the BPSD as a parameter. As a result, the relationship between the health status of the elderly and the worker stress of each occupation showed that the BPSD had a partial mediating effect on physical function and mental function, but the mediating effect on social function was insignificant. If the physical function is mediated by the BPSD, the better the physical function is, the higher the BPSD (2.408) and the more stressed the worker. If the mental function is mediated by the BPSD, the more the mental function is poor, the higher the BPSD(-2.392), and the higher the stress of the worker is. The purpose of this study is to find out the stress of the workers in order to improve the qualitative problems of the long-term care facility. Therefore, it should be noted that in the same long-term care benefit situation, the stress of caregivers is higher than that of nurses. The nurses are based on their expert knowledge, while the nursing care workers are engaged in long-term care benefits. However, the nursing care providers depend on the expertise rather than the expert knowledge level. It seems to feel fear. Long-term care agency managers should ensure that nursing care workers are well trained to respond to changes in the health of the elderly, freeing them from fear of work. The effect of health on the worker's stress was negatively correlated with the total number of admission periods. In this process, some physical and mental functions are mediated by BPSD, increasing the stress of the worker. Particularly, physical function seems to play a positive role in the worker's stress, but it has been confirmed that the mediator of the BPSD has a greater negative influence on the worker's stress. An alternative to reduce the stress of the worker should be provided by blocking the mechanism by which physical function can be changed into BPSD. In addition, government authorities should listen to the fact that the causes of worker stress are beginning to be caused by insufficient legal regulations. Despite the fact that Article 23 of the Long-term Care Act of the Elderly requires that the scope and tasks of employees (long-term care workers) be determined by the Presidential Decree, the scope of work of the employees is not specifically specified, Thereby increasing the stress. Considering that it is a medical welfare facility in accordance with the Elderly Welfare Act, the scope of work of social workers, nurses, and physical therapist in long-term care facility should be specifically defined, and the scope of medical care within the long-term care facility of nurses will be. The purpose of this study is to propose the direction of long term care service research in aged society by identifying the urgency of standardization of work and the development of tools for measuring health functions of elderly people who are living in long-term care facility.
