(Abstract)
This study aimed to identify what factors have an effect on the continuance will of volunteer activity and volunteers satisfaction. Through this study, I intended we could motivate people to consistently participate in the volunteer activity by improving volunteers satisfaction, and make full use into developing new volunteers People studied were volunteers having participated in emergency food providers during October of 2017. With them, I examined the way how some factors and volunteer satisfaction have an effect on the continuance will of volunteer activity and identified the structural causality among the variables. The research model and hypotheses of this study were to identify (1) the way how social support, social compensation, relationship with coworkers, and relationship with a volunteer work manager have an effect on volunteers satisfaction and the continuance will of volunteer activity and (2) the way how volunteers satisfaction, being a mediating variable, has an effect on the continuance will of volunteer activity. Therefore, setting up the continuance will of volunteer activity as a dependent variable, social support, social compensation, relationship with coworker, and relationship with a volunteer work manager as four independent variables, and volunteer satisfaction as a mediating variable, I performed the analysis of structural equation model and path analysis and tested the relevant hypotheses which were divided into two groups of direct effects and indirect effects. The conclusion of this study is as follows. First, it was revealed that the factors such as social support, social compensation, relationship with coworkers, and relationship a with volunteer work manager have an effect on volunteer satisfaction in a positive way. Second, those factors such as social support, social compensation, and relationship with coworkers did not have an effect on the continuance will of volunteer activity. Meanwhile, the relationship with a volunteer work manager had an effect on the continuation will of volunteer activity. Third, volunteer satisfaction was shown to have an effect on the continuance will of volunteer activity in a positive way. Fourth, the factors such as social support, social compensation, relationship with coworker, and relationship with a volunteer work manager had a positive effect on the continuance will of volunteer activity with volunteers satisfaction as a mediating factor. From the outcome of these tests, it was revealed that four factors such as social support, social compensation, relationship with coworkers, and relationship with a volunteer work manager had directly a positive effect on volunteers satisfaction, and the two factors such as relationship with a volunteer work manager and volunteers satisfaction had directly a positive effect on the continuance will of volunteer activity. And it came out that all of four factors such as social support, social compensation, relationship with coworkers, and relationship with a volunteer work manager had an indirect effect on the continuance will of volunteer activity with volunteers satisfaction as a mediating factor, but three factors except for relationship with a volunteer work manager did not have a direct effect on the continuation will of volunteer activity. This results suggest that the continuance will of volunteer activity would have a synergy effect when the level of volunteers satisfaction get higher. Therefore, it is needed that voluntary agencies should pave the way to develop programs for raising volunteers satisfaction through various cases. Overall, this study would have some significance in terms that it identified the effect of early mentioned factors on volunteer satisfaction and the continuance will of volunteer activity in the emergency food providers which is a type of community service, and in turn could play a partial role to prepare measures for motivating the volunteers to consistently participate volunteer activity.
