The effects of sensory integration on sensory processing, visual perception and behavior of attention deficit-hyperactivity children원문보기

Objective : The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of sensory integration on sensory processing, visual perception and problem behavior in children with attention deficit/hyperactivity tendency. Subjective : children with the tendency of attention deficit/hyperactivity through K-ARS-Ⅳ were divided into 11 boys and 15 girls, 13 boys and 2 girls in control group. Pre-test was performed before the first session, post-test was performed after the end of the 16th session, and the experimental group was administered twice a week for 16 times in 8 weeks and 40 minutes for each session. In the control group, the art program was performed twice a week for 16 times in 8 weeks and for 40 minutes per session. We performed SSP, K-DTVP-II, and K-CBCL with pre- and post-test to investigate the changes of sensory processing, visual processing, and problem behavior. Results : visual perception(p <.01), and problem behavior (p <.001) were significantly improved by the sensory integration. There was no significant difference in the sensory processing and visual perception of the control group, but there was a significant difference in the decrease of problem behavior (p <.01). The difference in the amount of change between the groups of the humerus and the control group improved the total score of sensory processing in the experimental group, and improved visual perception ability (p <.01) and decreased problem behavior (p <.05). Conclusions : This study confirms that sensory integration improves sensory processing, visual perception processing, and problem behavior of attention deficit/hyperactivity children.
