첫 번째 사례는 OSMU(One Source Multi Use)에서 트랜스미디어 콘텐츠로 확장된 해리포터 프랜차이즈, 【J.K. 롤링의 위저딩 월드(J. K. Rowling's Wizarding World)】이다. (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child)》,

This study began with the study by Henry Jenkins, who reestablished the concept of transmedia storytelling while agonizing over an alternative fan culture. Based on three keywords that he suggested, such as media convergence, collective intelligence, and participatory culture, we identified relational context and interaction of media and their organic characteristics and network attributes, and analyzed the participatory culture of audiences who actively and creatively enjoy the contents and collective intelligence in various forms of collective speeches, particularly focusing on their fandom. We tried to examine the transmedia contents from the standpoint of audiences, not producers. In addition, because audiences’ being deeply immersed in transmedia contents and producing derivative contents while interpreting and sharing them is related to the life force of the contents in the future, we identified their method of enjoyment and participatory aspects, and analyzed their characteristics. We organized the attributes and components of storytelling suggested by Henry Jenkins and Robert Pratten, and based on the discussions in preceding and existing studies, we categorized the methods of enjoying transmedia contents into four categories, such as puzzling, curating, gaming, and creating, and applied them to case analysis. The first case is J. K. Rowling's Wizarding World, a Harry Potter franchise that was expanded from OSMU(One Source Multi Use) to transmedia contents. After the completion of Harry Potter series, the drama Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the movie Fantastic Beasts, and the website Pottermor have existed individually and independently through each different Owned Media and they are making valuable contribution to formation of world view. We studied how the media use and producer intervention were, how creatively and actively the participation activities of the audiences were conducted, and how much all these activities contributed to the formation of world view in the process of enjoying these contents by Potterhead, a Harry Potter fandom. The second case is Produce 101 Season 2, a TV entertainment survival program that captured the characteristics of transmedia contents from media transfer and audience participation. The enjoyment method of the fandom, named National Producers, shows a form of gamification that combines role-playing and voice simulation, and the producers induce immersion by providing clear goals and rules. In the process, the National Producers conduct puzzling of the independent contents contained in the Owned Media, and dismantle, assemble, expand, and distribute the stories through creating enjoyment method using Earned Media. However, it was analyzed that beneath the purpose of this enjoyment, there was a desire of the National Producers to make the trainee they selected a debut member and end the Produce 101 Season 2 in the scenario they wanted. The third case is the idol singer Park Ji Hoon who is diversely expanding the idol contents IP(Intellectual Property) to audience-oriented transmedia contents. We compared the two groups, Wannable, a fandom in his group singer period, and May, a fandom in his solo singer period while focusing on their creating enjoyment methods. We considered the current situation, where the entertainment agency and the fandom are jointly building [PARK J;H「」N] world view through the formation of mutually friendly relationship, very encouraging, and suggested a future direction of transmedia contents in idol field. The fourth case is the immersive theater Sleep No More in which the audiences move freely and build their own narratives while enjoying stories that are told simultaneously, departing from the stereotype of existing stage space in the performance field with offline contents. In this study, we analyzed the method of enjoyment that attempts extremely subjective experience, while paying attention to the phenomenon in which the audiences of this performance are called 'ghosts', and the ghosts themselves become a medium and a part of the theater while exchanging influences among them. In addition, we examined the current trends of immersive theater, which has started to use cutting-edge technology and digital media, and analyzed the possibilities of offline transmedia contents that will stimulate our senses using their multiple senses while frequenting indoor and outdoor spaces. In this study, we tried to analyze the methods of audiences to enjoy transmedia contents and identify ideal enjoyment types according to IP attributes and characteristics of each content. In addition, we also tried to discuss how to encourage the audiences to use the ideal enjoyment types. In foreign countries, research, which deals with the parallel world and fandom economy in entertainment industry created by the fans who are dynamically playing in media field, is already being actively conducted. In the future, the audiences, particularly the fandom, which refers to the active audiences, will form the basis of the consumption of cultural contents, and the media is also being reorganized as the audience-centered media. Therefore, we need to pay attention to the method of enjoying transmedia contents as a methodology that will lead the Mediance era. Based on these discussions, we classified the enjoyment types that are noticeably captured in each case, identified their characteristics, and compared and analyzed the cases by each enjoyment type. As a result, we were able to catch the difference in the way of using Owned Media and Earned Media, the time of intervention by the producer, the purpose of the creation, and the aspect of building the world view depending on the genre and the attributes even in the same type. There are advantages and disadvantages of each type of enjoyment, and it is necessary to plan and analyze the transmedia contents by clearly grasping and supplementing them. In this paper, however, we were not able to closely examine the issue of supplementing the disadvantages of each type of enjoyment, so we plan to examine them through follow-up studies. We hope that this study will be of small help to those who predict enjoyment methods, patterns, purposes, and types of the audiences while planning and producing transmedia contents that can best manifest the enjoyment methods.
