Behaviorism education is a kind of Physicalism and has traits that make a personality to “Reification(Verdinglichung)”, manipulate education as means for nation or developing system, deny liberty, identify human being with animal or an automatic machine and passively tame them with external manipulation. Kant, on the other hand, categorically dictates not to use dignity personality as a means, demands the courage to use reason as self as a modern self, refuses to tame personality as an animal by external stimuli, and as self transcendental through moral maturity, he desires to grow up to a noble subject and to make himself holy. Bobbitt is considered to be the first person to design the academic and theoretical system of the curriculum when he first applied the expression “Curriculum” in the curriculum. Bobbitt is generally a Behaviorist and known researcher who provided technical engineering prescriptions and scientific management principles in the curriculum. Bobbitt tried to apply the business administration of efficiency pursued by companies and factories in the area of education. Bobbitt thought of the school as a factory, according to Bobbitt's famous metaphor “school as a factory”, where schools become factories, students as raw materials, teachers as production workers, and principals as factory managers. According to Bobbitt, schools as factories are obliged to make raw materials grow through the curriculum, which is a period of educational processes, into the products that society demands and the needs of society. Bobbitt's metaphor, which portrayed the student as a raw material for social purposes, became a regular menu criticized by his critics because it emphasizes the reification of personality for social purposes of efficiency. Bobbitt's Behaviorism focused on what functions are needed in real society and focused on making it possible for students to contribute to society through education. It, therefore, emphasizes the needs of society in setting educational goals. Its purpose is external, and its means and processes are accidental. This means that the child fits into the curriculum, and in some cases, problems arising in the process for external purposes seem to be negligible. For children are raw materials for a particular social purpose because the personality of the child becomes instrumental. In this engineering theory, human resources is a product that can only contribute to social needs. In general, the concerns and criticisms of Max Weber, Horkheimer, Lukács, Habermas, etc, concerning the materialization of the personality of the industrial capital era are largely under the capitalist industrial environment, since Bobbitt brought it to school education, Reification is embodied in the education environment. This is because the materialization of personality in the management of the factory is expressed as it is in the educational environment. In general, when criticizing Weber, it is said that it is unacceptable to grasp social rationalization as the rationalization of means for the purpose in all areas of life. The representative area discussed here is school. It is a pity that there is a pedagogy that feels similar to Weber's purpose rationality in the philosophy of education. In particular, some characteristics of these thoughts were followed by our education in the name of development education and human resource development. Bobbitt's argument that the curriculum should be guided by observable scientific statements and procedures encouraged behaviorist psychologists or philosophers of mind. Watson's goal of Behaviorism is to manipulate and control humans just as it controls physical objects. Just as Behaviorism is in the lineage of materialistic physicalism, they believed that physical stimuli could manipulate and control humans as much as possible. Since there is no consciousness other than physical matter or fact, human autonomy and free will are ignored. Watson dismisses opinions interpreted of the existence of the mind by the Mentalism as unworthy, and even says humans are no different from animals. Say there is no boundary between humans and animals. The same mechanistic view of humans as automatic machines is the same for Skinner. Skinner says from the point of view of science, there is no room to see the self as the true creator of action. The self is not the originator of action. But if the self is not the founder of his actions, there is no freedom. And Skinner says that eliminating this soul-like mystical realm is the goal of Behaviorism. And then, in Beyond Freedom and Dignity, Skinner discards “autonomous humans”, “inner humans”, “freedoms”, and “dignity” as “devils captivating human beings”. I think the view of Behaviorism, which regards humans as animals, is to be a renunciation of human values and dignity. The main disadvantage of behaviorist psychology is the physicalistic evaluation of human beings and the largely denigrating of human free will. Behaviorist psychology largely ignores human autonomy and creativity and explains as if it can be tamed with external heteronomy, and aims that. Their external reinforcement theory suggests that external conditioning can grow a good person or a bad guy. In other words, it aims at human manipulation through physical manipulation. It was possible because they were also physicalists. The explanation of behaviorist psychology makes feeling the child as a laboratory rat. They see humans as animals. They unhesitatingly say that humans are like animals. According to Kant, if we, as humans, do not want to stay as animals, in other words, a beast, do not want to stay as part of nature, which merely repeats scientific causality, humans must want to have something other than their mechanical or animal nature. That is the moral ideology for man. But Behaviorism requires us to have a mechanical or animal nature. It wants to remain human being mechanical or animal only. The largest criticism of Kant's ethics of Behaviorism should be in the reification, materialization, and instrumentalization of personality. Bobbitt's Behaviorism demands to deal with education and personality as a means for the sake of the state, society, system, money, and interests. Money or profit is, to any distance, inclined to the tendency, self-love, and even hypothetical imperative, and is not a man's categorical purpose. The formality of the Kant's Categorical Imperative not to treat humans as a means demands the rejection of all of them, moreover, is it a reification of character? Thus, the categorical imperative denies the means of morality for the simple benefit of the group. Kant requires for the universal legislative principle not to use humans as a means for external purposes. Kant requires students not to sacrifice human rights as a means for social needs. Kant dreams of a society where personality is treated for the purpose. Kant called these nations to treat each other for their purposes as “the Kingdom of Ends(Reiche der Zwecke)”. Like this, all rational beings seek to become their own legislators of the kingdom universalized in moral, to follow it themselves, and to expect each other to be so treated. Kant's philosophy of education thus aims civil education that does not instrument each other but respects each other's personality and liberty. Kant's moral idea focuses on the personality and goodness of the individual, but not on collective interests or systemic competition. Kant's enlightenment(aufklärung) is the development of the ability to reflect on oneself without resorting to preconceived prejudices, dominant notions, and interpretations and explanations from above. An educational institution like this one does not provide an instrumentalizing human education, but try to educate yourself to mature like waking up from an egg. This leads to human beings as the existence who can think for themselves and be responsible for their actions. Rather than being tamed and manipulated like animals, they aim to autonomously complete themselves and take responsibility for their actions. The ability to think for oneself causes that “reasonable human being” defined by Aristotle does not become as machines or beasts but as human beings. I think that should be the role of education. Kant hopes an educate that raises and uprears each individual as an autonomous human constituent of society to grow up into a mature individual who can use his own reason rather than an external manipulation. Kant tells us that the source of morality and ethics lies in autonomy. The fact that autonomy allows a man to enter into a state of control and denial of his own desires by universal laws established by himself makes the man a bearer of dignity. Human liberty is realized by the purpose of humanity and is not enforced from the outside by others, but a freely chosen purpose controls the tendency. Categorical Imperative allows the transcendental subject as the founder of the law to aim to establish the categorical law. The leap of transcendental self makes to aim moral perfection through self-integrity, which begins with himself. In Kant’s philosophy, the establishment of the autonomous universal law of the transcendental subject, following it, and the moral uplifting consists of human dignity. But in behaviorism, heteronomous obedience of heteronomous existence consists of moral heteronomy and makes humans like animals or cogs in factories. Skinner, of course, said that it is an advance saying human being like a dog. That's why they intend animal training for human beings. Kant dreams of a community morally uplifted of intellectuals consisted of autonomous personalities, while behaviorism refers to passively personalities manipulated. Kant takes notice of the infinite possibilities of man, while behaviorism refers to passive taming and manipulation. Behaviorism refers to encouraging a mechanical servile spirit in the manager's ideology. If we lose our desire for amusement, beauty, the transcendent realm of love for mankind represented by humanity's great and positive cultural heritage, and turn away from the lofty ideals of autonomous morality, we will lose the power of opposing the overwhelming fear of civilization of machine civilization, and we will lose the good possibility of mankind as resisting tool to evil. In physicalism, only the mechanical action and reaction of mechanical materials through reinforcing and human reification are emphasized. But morality as a sacred value based on human autonomy should not be abolished. It is because autonomous moral offers endless clues and possibilities for the sacredness of human beings. When these are possible, we can trust human possibilities and not be pessimistic about the world that human beings build. It is at that time that we can trust humans as beings other than beasts, or not as part of nature, which merely repeats scientific causation.
