Second, the correlation between life stress, ego resilience, and psychological well being of middle aged women was examined. As a result, psychological well being showed a negative correlation with life stress and a positive correlation with ego resilience. Third, there was a partial mediating effect of ego resilience in life stress and psychological well being. Fourth, in the mediating effect of ego resilience, family relationship stress, economic stress, and role stress did not show mediating effects, and only health stress showed effects. Fifth, it was found that ego resilience has a partial mediating effect in the relationship between positive interpersonal relationships and self-acceptance of life stress. In other words, it was confirmed that middle aged women's life stress negatively affects ego resilience, but ego resilience has a positive relationship with psychological well being, and ego resilience has a partial mediating effect in the relationship between life stress and psychological well being of middle aged women. Based on these research results, the significance and limitations of this study and suggestions for future research were discussed.
