금산천과 기사천이 위치하는, 충청남도 금산군의 지리적 특징은? | 금산천과 기사천은 지방2급 하천으로서 우리나라 4대강 중 하나인 금강의 제2지류이고, 두 하천모두 제1지류인 봉황천으로 유입된다(Figure 1). 충청남도 금산군은 노령산맥의 지맥이 중앙부를 통과하고 소백산맥이 동남쪽을 지나고 있어 양대 산맥으로 인해 큰 분지를 이루고 있으며 동서의 길이는 약 24km, 남북의 길이는 약 32km로 총 면적은 약 576km2이다. 한반도 남단의 내륙지역에 위치하여 남부 내륙형 기후로 분류되며, 연평균 기온은 11.8°C이고, 8월 평균기온이 가장 높은 25.8°C이며, 1월 평균기온은 가장 낮은 -2.7°C로 그 차이가 28.5°C로 비교적 크며, 강수량은 연평균 약 1,300mm로 우리나라 평균 강수량인 1,159mm에 비해 많은 것이 특징이다(Geumsan-gun, 2012). |
