기존 비만치료를 위한 체중조절 프로그램의 문제점은? | 비만 치료로는 식사, 운동, 행동요법이 기본이 되며 단독요법으로 섭취열량을 제한하는 저열량 식이요법, 초저열량 식이요법(Niskanen 등 1996; Hellström등1997), 주 2∼3회, 1회 45∼60분 복합 운동프로그램(Lean 등 1996; Kwon 등 2012)을 실시하기도 하지만 식사, 운동, 행동요법을 병행한 다각적인 방법으로 구성된 지속적인 체중조절 프로그램이 체중감소와 유지를 위해 효과적인 방법으로 알려져 있다(Stunkard 1987; National Institutes of Health 1998). 국내에서도 다각적인 방법으로 체중조절 프로그램이 적용되고 있으나(Lee 등 2008; Choi 2009) 대부분의 연구가 지식 전달과 연구기간 내 열량 제한, 운동프로그램 진행으로 단기간의 일시적인 체중감소에 초점이 맞추어져 있었다. 또한 이러한 프로그램들은매주 각각의 주제로 다양한 교육이 진행되어 교육의 반복성이 떨어졌고 프로그램 중 포함된 운동, 식행동 및 생활습관 개선은 연구 종료 후 자발적인유지가 어렵다는 제한점을 가지고 있다(Epstein & Wing 1987; Choue 등 1995; Lee & Chang 2007). 따라서 단기간의 체중감소 효과가 아닌 장기적인 체중감소와 유지, 스스로 올바른 생활습관 확립을 위한 교육이 요구되며(Fitzwater 등 1991) 생활습관 변화를 통한 체중관리의 중요성이 강조되고 있다(Song등 2013). |
