자아탄력성이란 무엇인가? | 응급실 간호사는 항상 긴장된 상황 속에서 근무하고, 간호업무 수행 중 극도의 정신적 스트레스를 경험하게 된다(Cohen & Mulvaney, 2005). 자아탄력성은 자아통제를 바탕으로 융통성있게 반응하여 성공적인 적응을 하는 능력이며(Block & Kremen, 1996), 간호사에게 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 수 있는 개인적 특성(Tusaie & Dyer, 2004)으로, 스트레스가 많은 환경에서 응급실 간호사가 업무를 효율적으로 수행하기 위해서는 이들의 자아탄력성이 필요할 것으로 본다. 간호현장에서도 직무 스트레스를 견디지 못하는 집단과 반면 그 상황을 극복하고 전문적으로 발전하는 집단과의 차이가 무엇인지에 대해 주목하면서 간호사의 자아탄력성이 관심받기 시작하였다(Jackson & Firtko, 2007). |
