남녀 성별에 따른 학교 폭력피해 청소년의 정신건강연구 -탄력성의 매개효과-

본 연구는 학교 폭력피해 청소년들의 정신건강에 대한 연구로서, 남녀 성별에 따른 학교 폭력피해 청소년들의 정신건강 수준과 그리고 그들의 정신건강에 대한 탄력성의 매개효과를 규명하는 것이다. 본 연구의 연구대상자들은 지난 1년간 1회 이상 학교폭력 피해 경험이 있는 J시 소재 중학교 2학년 재학생 509명이다. 그 가운데 남학생은 294명 여학생은 215명으로 구성되어 있다. 본 조사는 2016년 4월 15일에서 5월 22일 사이에 이루어졌다. 학교 폭력피해 청소년들의 일반적 특성을 알아보기 위해서는 빈도 및 백분율을 산출하였으며, 주요 변수들 간의 관계를 파악하기 위해서는 상관관계분석을 실시하였다. 그리고 학교 폭력피해 청소년들의 학교 폭력피해 경험이 정신건강에 미치는 영향에서 탄력성의 매개효과를 검증하기 위해서는 3단계 매개 회귀분석과 Sobel test를 실시하였다. 본 연구결과, 학교폭력 피해 청소년들의 학교 폭력피해 정도는 남학생이 여학생보다 유의미하게 더 높게 나타났지만, 이와는 대조적으로 피해학생들의 정신건강 수준은 여학생 집단이 남학생 집단에 비해 통계적으로 유의미하게 월등히 더 나쁜 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 학교 폭력피해가 정신건강에 미치는 영향에서 탄력성의 매개효과를 검증한 결과, 남녀집단 모두에서 탄력성의 완전 매개효과가 검증되었다. 이러한 연구결과에 근거하여 학교 폭력피해 청소년들의 탄력성 강화를 위한 개입전략을 제안하였다.

청소년기의 특징은? 청소년기는 발달 단계상 어떤 시기보다도 또래 집단의 인정을 받으려는 욕구가 매우 강하며, 자기가 속한 집단에 의하여 자신을 정의 하고자 하는 특징이 있다[7]. 그리고 이 시기는 하나의 고유한 인간으로서 정체감을 확립하기 위하여 혼란과 방황을 경험하는 시기로서 정신 건강상으로도 매우 중요한 시기로 알려져 왔다[8].
